I stand to be corrected on this but stein is the German word for stone, which implies to me that it is a pottery drinking vessel, I thought the German word for a litre glass was mas.

Well it worked out quite well, we had a pint then caught the bus, they even accepted my south Yorkshire pensioner's bus pass.

Yes it's a (fairly) new ground, as usual it's miles from any decent boozer, but we are going to one near the station, it's run by a blade who tells me there is a bus service to and from the ground. Not really a fan of Porter and the idea of chocolate beer does nothing for me, on a positive note I did have a few pints of Brewers Gold from Picctish brewery, always a nice pint, I forgot Picctish were Rochdale based.

Can I have some of those happy pills please? UTB

I know, it must be nearly 400 mile round trip, but it is one of only two grounds not visited in this division (though I had been to Layer Road), the other being Fleetwood. Hope to have a pint in the Essex CAMRA pub of the year brfore the game. UTB
