  1. Hi, We have just had one done. Like you, we got all the paperwork in order to do it ourselves, we are by no means stupid, but the paperwork was difficult to navigate. Eventually it has to go through a solicitor anyway for it to be registered, but also when you wish to use it, you may need the solicitor to authorise it, depending on what you have put in place. In the end we decided it was best to get it all done professionally, money spent now could save loads of money and hassle in the near future for you.
  2. Oh Martin and Jarvis..if you do pop in to read this..I thought it was a fantastic film.I found it very emotional, I didn't need a narration nor captions. It was a backdrop to my growing up in an industrial heartland. The lines on people's faces told stories all by themselves.I thought it had 'Art and soul'..Well done.
  3. I spent a happy hour last night watching the Pistols reunion concert from a few years ago, I still think Lydon has and had the right idea, he even laughs at himself, I think he's just glad to still be alive to be honest !!
  4. Petition here if you wish to sign : http://chn.ge/1i1MU0P
  5. Oh right I see! Is that what's called 'Going out on a high??' Thanks for telling me !
  6. I am INTRIGUED, I'm either incredibly short sighted, or I'm missing something. Please explain, ok so the house is grotty...what else ? Has a photo been removed or something ? Don't get it !!
  7. Just finished 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn. Enjoyed it, but it's about a couple's very very twisted relationship.Cleverly crafted.Would recommend.
  8. My friend is a glass engraver and also deals in old glass, I'll try and forward her the photo links and see if she can shed any light.
  9. Hmm well..I maybe did have a little 'thing' for the guy on 'Banshee' if anyone watched it ? He did have a bit of a weird sort of dent in his head tho! I'm not selling this well am I ? Also Ray Donovan anyone ?!!
  10. Supertramp and Vague boy..Why be so glib about the OP ? She was making a valid point, it IS infuriating having to deal with this sort of thing. Before you start making assumptions, her child has a special needs disability and she lives quite far from shops and doesn't drive so it is not easy for her. A little empathy goes a long way sometimes, we can't keep fuelling the world on bad attitudes.
  11. The story as I heard it was that it was at a butchers in Dixon Lane. It's probably a Sheffield legend !!
  12. Sorry to have to give you all the news that Dave Aston (Azzo) sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago. It's great to think he made so many people laugh !
  13. Oh yes, after a drunken night we could often be found queuing for a chip butty with really oddly runny and rancid tomato sauce, but when you stumbled out of a nightclub at 2 am , that was food from the Gods !!! Do you remember that sometimes lads would nick the sauce bottles and a sauce fight would ensue ?!!
  14. I am trying to send you a PM about a mutual friend, but it is saying you choose not to accept messages, so don't know if I'm blocked or your inbox is full. Please get in touch. ---------- Post added 24-08-2013 at 12:14 ---------- I will be out for the afternoon, so if you don't get a reply from me straight away, I will get back to you tonight...that's if you're not out !
  15. Well I watched all of this mini series, and I was enraged at the crapness of the last episode, it felt like they ran out of time and had to 'Sew it up ' quickly. Wish I hadn't persevered with it !
  16. I saw every episode, I thought it was really well acted, bleak and breathtaking. Yes the series have already been aired in Ireland but I think you can get them if you can't wait. I thought all the characters were believable.
  17. We only eat Yorkies while driving our lorries of course, it'd be rude not to
  18. Aw Thanks Cressy, I have been Keeping an eye on here from time to time:thumbsup: ---------- Post added 17-08-2013 at 15:30 ---------- Firstly, I didn't check things out because when I'm told I'm buying something 'ANNUALLY' that USED to mean twelve months when I was at school. Maybe it's changed since it went metric ? I don't think I blamed the world did I ? And as for you saying 'WE ' have another moaner, I don't think you can speak for everyone else, it's not your party you know. What ? were you waiting in the wings for me , like some kind of demented forum wasp ?
  19. Hey Mel, you OK? Here I am, back in God's own Country again !
  20. Thanks for your replies and links. Still feel cross, it wouldn't be so painfully irritating if it was say a small business doing it, but this just feels like robbery while the powers that be happily look the other way. Honesty doesn't pay any more does it ?
  21. Yeah it IS a scam, millions of people NOT paying at all, I pay and to thank me they rip me off...Nice..NOT.
  22. I have just received notice that my TV licence is up for renewal on or before 31st August. All very well except I purchased it in September 2012 (25th) It's supposed to be for twelve months unless I'm very much mistaken. I contacted them and they say that it runs from the 1st of a month and they cannot change the expiry date on my licence. It's a right flippin rip off, has anyone else had this ?
