  1. MoZalan is the man ,just saved me from bining a laptop.
  2. A good job I paid for the laptop with a credit card or I would have been on a loser with Currys. After 3 months use to say the fault was wear and tear and refusing to repair the laptop once I got B/card involved they soon got it sorted. My advice is if you buy anything from the PC world Currys or Dixons pay with a credit card.
  3. My experience with Curry/Dixon/Pc world was a nightmare.I purchased a laptop from Currys .One of the cursor keys on the touchpad went faulty after 3 months ,I was told to ring the companys Tech Guy who advised me the fault was wear and tear.To cut a long story short Barclaycard told Currys to get it sorted.I have never shopped there since.Avoid like the plague.

  6. Not moaning ,just cannot understand why country lanes in the middle of nowhere take priority over main roads. There will be disruption when they do start on the main roads whether the side roads have been done or not.
  7. I would have thought that main roads would have priority over country roads that only lead to Our Cow Molly ice cream farm.

  11. Had a laptop from Curry's,went faulty after 3 months. Their Tech guy diagnosed the fault over the phone and said it was wear and tear and would not repair it.Good job i purchased it with Barclaycard who soon sorted Currys out.Never bought anything from them since and never will.
  12. Dentists are a lot better than they were in the 1950's.Teeth filled without injections, the dentist stopped drilling when he hit the root of the tooth. The horrible clamp to hold your mouth open and the smelly gas mask plonked over your nose and mouth.Avisit to the dentist is a doddle these days.

  16. Like you say Plain Talker the blind chap never bothered anybody, perhaps in hindsight I should not have associated him with the other street sellers. There was another chap who used to stand outside Castle market selling his wares ,cannot remember what he sold, think it was razor blades
  17. Also the blind chap who sold shoelaces and matches out side ,was it, Suggs on the moor.Another one was the bloke who gave away Old Moores Almanacs and when you took it off him he wanted a donation, think his name was Littlewood.
  18. And they still wont empty your bin if the lid is an inch open. ---------- Post added 07-12-2012 at 20:23 ---------- When the bin men are fully qualified mardy sods do they get promoted to the dump it /recycling sites. These lads really have got customer care off to a tee.
  19. is there any cutlery experts on the forum who can advise as to what is the best sort of carving knives to buy for general household use.I have been told that you cannot sharpen stainless to a good degree of sharpness and that the best carving knives should have carbon in their make up,is this correct and I apoligise if I have hijacked this thread but I am sure this info could be of use to the original poster.
  20. Bt lines are run in conduit on every floor and are fed from two cabinets in the basements. There are no poles or overhead telephone wires in Regents Court.
  21. I did a bit of part time driving years ago for a Shwietzers on cumberland st .Could he be a relative of the Bradford wollen family.I believe the wife of the one i worked for was a daughter of Westons chemists.

  24. Eastfield pleasure at Chapel Point, not to be confused with Eastfield at Trunch Ln,is a very good site .The beach at chapel point is approx yards away from the site. The site has hard standings for all tourers and is well kept but I think you will be struggling to get anything decent for less than £1250.
