  1. £30 fine, three points on licence,i was stck behind a very old (and careful) gent for a couple of miles, with no chance of passing safely,he was going 20/25 mph, when he eventually turned left,i was fuming and stuck my toe down a little, then plod stepped out and got me with the gun:mad: -45 in a 30mph zone. that was about 15 years ago,the points are still on my licence,as i'm too lazy to send it off for removal:rolleyes: regards, john.

  10. grey squirrels are classed as vermin, they drove the native red squirrel out.they can demolish anything made of timber (a bu**er if they get into the roofspace (a friend of mine had to fork out two and a half grand to have the roof reinforced after an attack by these creatures) i used to think they were lovely, until they started digging in my bonsai dishes,i'd get home and there would be little trees all over the garden, not in their pots, quiet a few died as the roots had dried out:rant: . john.
  11. is anyone going to attend the guitar course at woodseats school, it starts tomorrow (tuesday,20th) i think i'll go,as i'm so rusty:( the course is£35 for 10 lessons of two hours, which i think is very good value:thumbsup: btw,it is an intermediate course so basic knowlege would be handy, the tutor is rock guitarist, alex oliver, lessons are 7pm until 9pm,and you can enrol on the night. regards, john. btw, you've put some great piccies of some luvverly guitars on this thread, well done.

  13. hi i've been playing about 4 or 5 years now(badly),but have acquired some nice axes, they are- simon & patrick, mahogany, beautiful bright tone. hofner president,circa,1960,sounds acky, needs stringing badly. marlin (strat copy) commodore (circa 1970) f-holed semi acoustic hondo (gibson hummingbird copy)also needs strings hohner (les paul copy) eros nevada 12string acoustic harmony sovereign (bought for my son) art & lutherie (also residing with my son) i have a few more consigned to the loft as my missus was fed up of falling over them john.
  14. sorry,i got the wrong end of the stick again:loopy: john.
  15. hi cyclone if you have it replaced, the quality probably be poorer than your existing door, when you say the door is 'dipping',it could just be new hinges that are needed, over the years,(especially with old heavy doors)hinges take considerable punishment and become loose, causing the door to tip. i think i'd rather keep it and get it seen to. regards, john.
  16. men-pah,i wouldn't trust 'em as far as i could throw 'em:hihi: john.
