  1. You could buy me a drink?! Ipad2's are supposed to be cheaper here than in UK and all Apple products in Hk are readily available (use a proper shop, they won't be fake). Also: things like PS3 and xbox are cheap here- many of them are brought in independently from other countries so the warranty wouldnt necessarily be valid in HK- but if you are going to sheffield then it wouldn't matter!
  2. Also: if there are a lot of emails coming in then I don't think it is likely the attachment (if there is one) has a virus..
  3. Hi Davy, Just for your own reference/potential future help you might want to note down when the messages started arriving and the dates you started action fixing it. The same thing happened to a computer where I worked (not in the UK), luckily it wasn't one that we needed to use a lot, and it was sending out hundreds of Viagra emails (not the industry we were in at the time)... Anyway... The govt telecommunications authority contacted us and our ip addresses were almost blocked/banned indefinitely as they thought we were deliberately sending out the spam... If we had all the dates/info on hand it would have made it easier speaking to the govt about it.... Not sure what the regs are in the Uk, but better safe than sorry!
  4. I found the thread interesting until I noticed the tone seemed to be endorsing violent crimes... And then I thought.. This probably has no place in this forum, and I wish it had no place in Sheffield.
  5. Maybe your time would be better spent looking at why Bombardier (with access to all this cheap eastern European asylum labour) lost the bid?
  6. We should make our own easy-to-make/break furniture... Let's not give money to Ikea. And we should have never exported our steel.... In doing so we were hurting other cutlery makers and the like. Swings and roundabouts really.... As long as the UK/Sheffield carries on at least building either swings or roundabouts. If we dont, it's because we have become inefficient.
  7. What????? Wilson, university?!! He'd never be seen inside a red brick!
  8. The Pommie Potato Sheffield Skins Thick Skins The Dirty Apple Earth Apple Cheap As Chips
  9. The "Suited Spud" Or Syed's Suited Spud Shack? Or.. If you are selling them near schools from A red ford transit (see other posts on here) then: Tater Tots!
  10. Or... It wasn't that shop, which was suggested but quickly poo-pooed by you
  11. There used to be a free payroll program that was available from the govt- it seemed pretty simple and once it was set up It didn't seem to be too complicated- but I never actually used it for running a company and paying individuals..Might also depend if your staff are paid a regular amount or if it varies each cycle
  12. I personally think that it has gotten to the point where it is impossible to compete at that level without constantly pushing boundaries re doping, steroids, blood work etc. I was chatting about this a few months ago and we thought if there was a way to guarantee a completely natural and clean competition then it would be interesting to have two competitions running parallel to one another. One where there are no additional substances, and one where atheletes are allow to take legal steroids... That way the 'clean' comp can maintain a certain standard and the other competition would be interesting as it really would be pushing the limits on human tolerance and fitness... But i don't think it would be possible to even set up a clean comp...
  13. They probably wouldn't touch you cause you can't drive!! Does being disabled increase your premiums? Same question for autism- is there a special field or anything like that where you can have your autism quantified (in terms of insurance risk etc)? As for getting mad, just relax!
  14. It's true.. I much preferred the article where the journo spoke about all the promise that Sheffield had.. And the amount of govt funding and eu funding coming it's way, and that it's crime rate for a major city was relatively low etc But that article was shot to pieces for not being accurate enough... Hate the style of writing, but still realise that there are some truisms
  15. I say go for it... At least then your servants will know your arse from your elbow
  16. But what if you wanted petrol for something that didn't require a vehicle excise duty to be levied? Things like lawnmowers (the big sit-on ones) and the occasional BBQ.
  17. Sorry, maybe my post wasnt too clearly structured but that wasn't what I was pointing to.
  18. I can't say I'm that suprised- someone on here put a YouTube link up to an American interview with the tech guy and that amir guy. It all sounded very very dodgy in that interview... And very much like a scheme that is unsustainable over time.
  19. Exactly Blondie... I have a friend who is going through the same thing (he isn't married yet though, but soon).... And I know in future he will regret it if he doesn't patch up things with his parents. And equally they will regret it if they don't sort things out with him... Both parties just need to speak to each other And make a bad situation slightly bearable... It's the only way things will ever get sorted!
  20. I actually thought the bride was very attractive... But, family rifts are very hard to solve- especially from The outside. I've found that it requires both sides to make huge sacrifices... Perhaps instead of posting the torn up cheque for 100 pounds, he could have arranged a meeting with her? At the end of the day, you can't chose your family, and you can't really chose your inlaws.. So you might just need to bear with it and hope that both parties come around. Congratulations to the bride and groom anyway.
  21. I've a newfound respect for hangovers.... They are immense (unlike erections, apparently) now
  22. Perhaps you could post it directly on here! Or perhaps this bump will do
