Oldham is apparently far, far worse than Rochdale but the likes of Andy Burnham and the vile Shah Arooj have prevented a similar enquiry being held, Oldham council even employed Shabir Ahmed in a role with acccess to children despite him being a ringleader in the Rochdale abuse.

6. A safeguarding strategy meeting was held about 11 children in 2007. The police and Rochdale council's children's services were present. Sarah Rowbotham (one of the few good people in all this) presented good evidence showing that all 11 children were at risk of significant harm (the statutory threshold for social services involvement). Despite no-one disputing the evidence, no section 47 (statutory child safeguarding) enquiry was carried out. To me, that is absolutely mind-boggling - there is no conceivable reading of the statutory guidance in place at the time that would suggest a section 47 enquiry wasn't needed. The report authors say that they think the reason this wasn't followed up was because the two main suspects were at that time in prison for other offences - but the girls were consistent that there were other men involved, so that thinking was completely mad.

For the record Burnham publicly professes outrage at grooming gangs but when Oldham Council took a vote as to whether to launch an enquiry (which was rejected) he sat in total silence, he also terms the underage victims "young women" the man is almost as odious as Shah Arooj, hopefully he and others who turned a blind eye will get their comeuppance one day.

It was you who claimed it was a report when you said quote:

If you are going to back up your argument with some sort of evidence in this way then,    1 - make sure the evidence exists.   2 -  Provide a link rather than expect us to find it.

In this case,  I'll not bother so you have no way of backing up what you say.

 

You also claimed that Burnham    "prevented a report"    and it seems that again,  your story has changed since you were asked about this.

 

Better explain who or what I am supposed to be apologising for because I want full justice for the victims of grooming  but  NOT  resting on the basis of incorrect

or misleading statements from someone who doesn't care whether what he says is factually correct.    I take truth very seriously whether you do or not.

Has he ever been a member of Oldham  Council? If not, would he have had a right to speak at a meeting of Oldham Council?
