Politics is rarely mentioned here, but yesterday, my partner (little schooling, but overflowing with common sense, and street smart resourcefulness) was talking to her GF in rapid Spanish that I couldn't follow, but I heard the word Ukrania. I smiled and off handedly said, "Don't worry, they won't be coming here". She corrected me, and said this stuff will hurt us all economically. She was right, of course, and I told her so.
