medusa   16 #15 Posted January 12, 2018 I'd be really hard to buy, unless it was for something that I was likely to do anyway. The vast majority of things that someone could want to bribe me for, I wouldn't do for any money. I'd have to live with myself afterwards. AmberLeaf   10 #19 Posted January 13, 2018 No,i owe nobody anything so i don't need to be bought.Freedom rather than money.  Totally agree. I'd rather have my pride. Now I'm a bit older, if you'd asked me say about 10 years ago, when I was young, naive and stupid, I might have said yes. Good job my mum was there.  ---------- Post added 13-01-2018 at 10:30 ----------  George Clooney can have me for nowt !  Don't sell yourself short, pattricia! Penistone999 Â Â 10 #21 Posted January 13, 2018 I just wondered what other people thought. I guess it depends on a lot of factors. Â Everyone has their price. MP`s and councillors are a good example of this.
 Share this content via...
AmberLeaf   10 #22 Posted January 13, 2018 Everyone has their price. MP`s and councillors are a good example of this.  leave them to it. You don't have to follow by they're example. I don't have time to think about the higher ups. It's not productive.
 Share this content via...
mrcharlie   10 #23 Posted January 15, 2018 Well, I'm the first to admit I'm as stubborn as a mule - but my morals and principles are as straight as an arrow. Not going into detail, but I've totally cut myself off from my parents and siblings exactly for the question the op asked. I'll have no chuck with either the idle or those who expect free handouts and an easy life. My view of such people is nothing short of scum. Despise them with a passion. If you want it, work for it and make sacrifices, otherwise belt up.
 Share this content via...
Obelix   11 #24 Posted January 15, 2018 Meh. Well for me the answer is yes. Despite moving out of the UK with firm intents to not come back....I'm back. Only for a short period though - they money they offered was really too good to refuse...
 Share this content via...
