dutch 68 #13 Posted January 30, 2017 Yes but that change requires you to enter the US, leave the airport and travel to a different airport. Stopping people merely changing planes within the SAME airport when they are originating from a country not in the list of 7 is just plain retarded. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-38786119 Like I said, simpsons mentality. In the eighties the American immigration rules were also a total joke, las vegas casino here is my hand, show me yours and see if you are lucky. No proper immigration rules or regulations attached. L00b 441 #14 Posted January 30, 2017 Why do people still say Trump not ban Saudi Arabia travellers for business reasons?Because when Obama last made such rumblings, the Saudis threatened to pull all of their assets and investments from the US. And let me tell you that it's one tall mountain of $ billions. The Republicans heard the Saudis just fine.
 Share this content via...
Flexo 10 #15 Posted January 30, 2017 It's the test phase of the Muslim ban. It'll take a while before it will be officially known as that but the white supremacists have already acted on the signals and started on domestic hate crimes. Two mosques burned down already. The Washington Post reports on a Fox News interview with Trump's close advisor: Fox News host Jeanine Pirro asked Giuliani whether the ban had anything to do with religion. “How did the president decide the seven countries?” she asked. “Okay, talk to me.” “I'll tell you the whole history of it,” Giuliani responded eagerly. “So when [Trump] first announced it, he said, 'Muslim ban.' He called me up. He said, 'Put a commission together. Show me the right way to do it legally.' " “And what we did was, we focused on, instead of religion, danger — the areas of the world that create danger for us,” Giuliani told Pirro. “Which is a factual basis, not a religious basis. Perfectly legal, perfectly sensible. And that's what the ban is based on. It's not based on religion. It's based on places where there are substantial evidence that people are sending terrorists into our country."
 Share this content via...

chalga 10 #17 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/jan/30/trump-travel-ban-starbucks-hire-10000-refugees Trumps plan works!!,he's getting Americans back to work again, helping refugees all over the world, and of course,he'll be too modest to claim that this is what he intended all along. Starbucks has promised to hire 10,000 refugees over five years in response to Donald Trump’s executive order temporarily barring refugees access to the US and banning entry for anyone from seven majority Muslim countries. Howard Schultz, the coffee chain’s chief executive, said he had “deep concern” about the president’s order and would be taking “resolute” action, starting with offering jobs to refugees. “We are developing plans to hire 10,000 of them over five years in the 75 countries around the world where Starbucks does business,” he told employees in a strongly-worded note.
