RockBaboon
Seems we've had a spate of lead theft from bay windows in S6 - Wynyard Road and surrounding roads. Just discovered the lead piping in a neighbors outbuilding has been cut and water has been pouring out. Flooded mine and other neighbors garden. Looks like they've used a portable electric saw as cut is very fresh and clean. Reported to South Yorkshire Police on 101 and to Yorkshire Water. Might be an idea for folk in this area to pop out and check their outbuildings. Yorkshire Water will not repair these pipes as they're on private land but will isolate the supply instead. rudds1
Might be a good idea to change any lead pipes to plastic
dan2802
This is hardly a new thing. Id recommend filling your outhouse with all manner of rubbish and fitting a sturdy padlock. Sadly it wont stop them but itll make life more difficult for low life scum who do this.
bluecanary
The thieving blighters nicked a load of piping from our outside toilet, also in S6, back in 2010/2011. The resulting torrent flooded our garden and our next door neighbours and came close to flooding our kitchen too. We reported it to the police, but never heard anything.
