Cannon brewery demolition.

Recommended Posts

With the news that the Cannon brewery has finally been earmarked for demolition, would it be a good idea to renovate and commission a new Stones brand. Given that the demand for real ales, and Stones was the best bitter in South Yorkshire?

stones was ok compared to the beers on offer in the 1970s. at the time the choice round here was less than 10 different beers, mostly mediocre at best. stones wouldn't pass muster with today's choices.

It used to be delivered to the pitsmoor club by the tanker load, now thats what i call popular. In the seventies/eighties i had a workshop on cross bedford street, we used to get the lovely smell drifting in from the brewery but only on a few days of the year.
