The Manager Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Just seen on T.V news That sheffield police chopper will no longer be based in sheffield from Jan 2013 !! forgot where it will now be based but it will take around 20mins if its needed for anything in sheffield Your Thoughts ?? Wizzzard Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 It's not yet confirmed. Police are due to be holding a meeting on Friday to discuss it but it's thought they will support the idea. The bases near Yorkshire will be West Yorks, Humberside and Derbyshire although South Yorks will still be getting a temporary base to enable the helicopter to re-fuel should the proposal be approved.
