  1. Hi, I've sent you a PM regarding this.
  2. Yes, when that kind of response is required the relevant people are dispatching officers to you while the call handler is often still on the call.
  3. No, in response to your question, I can't believe it.
  4. I'm looking for some advice please, My Siamese/shorthair cat has recently started showing signs of illness and I'm unable to afford to take her to a vet to get her treated atm. I was wondering if any of you had seen symptoms similar to hers before and if you were able to recommend any natural treatments? For the last week or so she has displayed the following: - Difficulty in passing urine combined with frequent trips to the litter tray - Inner eyelids remaining partly closed. - Poo coming out and she has no idea it's happening. Not masses of it, just small nuggets left all over the house, usually where she has been relaxing. She's not lethargic, her stomach is not distended in any way and there is no blood in her poo or urine. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  5. Has anyone used Ace Magic before? They're based in Doncaster but we're thinking of booking them for a Birthday party in Sheffield for twin 6 year old girls at the end of October. Also if anyone has any better recommendations I'd be happy to hear them? Thanks.
  6. It's not yet confirmed. Police are due to be holding a meeting on Friday to discuss it but it's thought they will support the idea. The bases near Yorkshire will be West Yorks, Humberside and Derbyshire although South Yorks will still be getting a temporary base to enable the helicopter to re-fuel should the proposal be approved.
  7. officially it's known as an Attachment of Earnings. More information can be found here: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=22_attachment_of_earnings_in_the_county_court It's odd that you've not been informed though, are you on the electoral roll and do you owe any creditors money that you've not been paying? Your first port of call should be your employer if you genuinely believe that there is a mistake as they will be able to tell you which court has imposed it which will lead to which creditor (if any)
  8. Which Chief Super is it that you're referring to? Invariably these types of public servants end up in the private sector in some kind of consultancy role anyway so they'd still be contributing.
  9. I know the title is a little generic but I'm looking for a car dealer in south yorks that will have a selection of cars that fit within my budget. I'm going to be heading out next week and have around £1200 to spend. If anyone could recommend anywhere to visit that would be great. I do have a couple of prerequisites, I won't buy anything that is "part exchange to clear" nor will I get anything that is "trade sale so no warranty" I know there are places out there that will suit my budget, it's just a matter of finding them. Any help would be appreciated
  10. I find percentages can be a little misleading, I could say that 100% of people who have ever eaten Brussel sprouts have since died and it would be true.... I tried looking for some solid facts to back my argument up but sadly couldn't find any, there was a piece on Wikipedia that said that proportionately their accident rate was no worse than anywhere else in Europe but since it's written by people like me I can't quote that I still maintain that speed isn't responsible for a lot of collisions and although it may be a contributing factor the saying "Speed kills" is inaccurate.
  11. Speeding in a residential area would count as careless so obviously there is no justification for that, same applies to any road condition where you are unable to see clearly. I'm not saying that doing 60mph in a 30mph zone wouldn't potentially have disastrous consequences, what I am saying is that there are a lot more factors in any collision other than speed. Autobhan's and other unrestricted highways seem to do perfectly well without a speed limit, I have no doubt that it is the attitude of the driver and his/her ability to control a vehicle and drive safely that will affect the outcome of a journey and not just the speed.
  12. From the Oxfordshire Council website: "Accident statistics in Oxfordshire. Oxfordshire has over 4,200km of roads, approximately 640,000 residents and around 325,000 vehicles registered within the authority's area. Each year on Oxfordshire's roads there are: an estimated 30,000 accidents of all types (including damage only and injury) 2,000 reported injury accidents Around 40 deaths, 300 serious injuries and nearly 2,200 slight injuries reported" The figures above were last updated in July 2010. That would mean 22 Less people have died leading up to March 2011? It just goes to show that they get the statistics to match the story they want to tell.
  13. So if the Deaths go up again next year they'll be switching them off again will they? Or will they perhaps look for something else to blame? Speed doesn't kill, careless and inattentive driving does. The council said themselves that there are a number of factors to take into consideration, it's just unfortunate that there is so much pressure from pro camera groups that they feel the cameras have to be switched on again without obtaining any meaningful figures.
  14. From the story: "Riot police have apparently had to enter the store to remove half a dozen or so who refused to leave" Don't let the facts get in the way of a good Police bashing comment though....
