I would probably keep the features a little lighter until after drive time - say post 9am. Or indeed have them on the day-time shows.

Keep the drive-time bit to news and lighter subject matter.

Hmmm...I guess it's hard to please everyone at the same time though.

Never got that ridiculous nickname, wasn't he the model for Smashy and Nicey?

Keith Skews........Cardboard shoes

Think the nickname always referred to his 'crepe soled shoes'

He was an old rock n roller :hihi:

So what your saying is make it bland like some of the other rubbish broadcast at this hour, I used to listen to Radio Sheffield exactly for the reason it wasn't that.

I went to 6music in Toby's absence and haven't gone back more through the quality of 6music than any detracting of TF.

Someone needs to have a word with the production team on the breakfast show.

It just lurches from one subject to another. There's also content thats not really suited to a drive-time breakfast show and would perhaps be better suited to another section of the listing.

Between 7.15 and 8.15 this morning it went from brexit to kids nativity plays to tramlines and then onto an tragic piece on dead babies.

It's becoming the norm - you just don't know what's coming next.

I agree with you. Looks like they read all the morning papers first and pick subjects from them to discuss on the show.

No that’s not what I’m saying - that’s what you are saying.

I’ve explained how I thought they could improve things above.

I never mentioned TF. I meant Radio Sheffield’s method of presentation .

RS makes me cringe whenever I accidentally catch a minute or two by mistake. It makes Sheff seem like a town the size of Mexborough.

Are there any shows on it I should make an effort to catch? Is there a local music show that's worth a listen for example? Apart from the football commentaries I can't bear to hear it, it always seems like a caricature of 1970s Yorkshire to me. Sheffield Live on the other hand often seems interesting whatever is on.
