In fact, I think alot of the people I work with would say that cocaine actually helps them in their job. People just get this view that all drug uses are down-and-outs who life outside society and can't hold down a job... that can be a very dangerous view to have. Most drugs wouldn't stop someone doing their jobs anymore than alcohol or tobacco would... certainly not coke or cannabis.

Thank you, I knew it couldn't just be me who felt like this. I don't think that there are any circumstances in which an affair is the right thing, but you can't just stick your head in the sand and pretend they don't happen. Nobody is really immune, all anyone can say is 'I haven't had an affair, yet' or 'I hope I never get put in a position where I might cheat'. Just seems that so many people are being self righteous just because they haven't been tempted yet, or they are in a loving relationship. 'I would never ever cheat because I love my girlfriend soooo much (and because I haven't had a decent offer yet and anyway I have to say that because she reads this forum)'. I'm not defending affairs and, despite my stance, I have never actually cheated. I'm just not arrogant enough to be able to say that I NEVER would.

Well, I think all those people who have had their rights defended in the supreme court because of the constitution would disagree with you. I agree that Bush is now trying to degrade these rights, just as McCarthy did, but for all the abuse they get, Americans have always been very big on freedom... far more than us.

Yep, life doesn't always work out as we like. I just find the people who say they will NEVER cheat kinda naive... but maybe it's just cynical old me... I just think most people can be very tempted, and anyone can fall in love at any time, which may lead them to cheat.
