  1. Bush has also now said the wants the election delayed... http://newsbox.msn.co.uk/article.aspx?as=article&f=uk_-_olgbworld&t=11881&id=50947&d=20040712&do=http://newsbox.msn.co.uk&i=http://newsbox.msn.co.uk/mediaexportlive&ks=0&mc=5&lc=en&ae=windows-1252 Wonder why???
  2. Yeah, John Edwards was a stroke of genius, they love him in North Carolina, i think quite a few Republicans might jump on the Kerry vote because of that.
  3. Your opinion is right in theory, but i don't think the America economy is strong at the moment at all. The unemployment rate has risen under bush and the economy has become weaker. Having lived in a Republican state while Bush has been president, i'd say things aren't looking too good. Die-hard republicans have told me they would never vote for him. I'd be really surprised if he gets back in... but who knows what he can fix. The thing going for Bush is that Kerry is not exactly a great media man, he hasn't got charm like Clinton... maybe alot of Americans will think 'why change horsemen mid-apocalypse?'.
  4. Maybe if the BNP didn't sound quite so much like Hitler's Nazi party, people wouldn't draw those similarities?
  5. Earlier this month, the web site for the Bush-Cheney campaign - the real one- featured a "create your own banner" tool, where you could enter your own slogan and print out your own poster, with the Bush-Cheney logo, and a note at the bottom "paid for by Bush-Cheney '04, Inc." Democrats, of course, couldn't get enough of this. The original sloganator accepted everything, then it started censoring profanity and words like "Hitler," "dictator," and "evil." Many clever folks exploited the sloganator to their own ends before its sad demise only a couple of weeks after its birth, and its mourners assembled some of the best for the slideshow. http://homepages.nyu.edu/~meo232/sloganator/ check it out, it's very funny And in the spirit of bipartisanship, allow me to offer the John Kerry Sloganator. Not run by the candidate, so it's uncensored. http://www.kerrysloganator.com/
  6. Sheaf View good..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
  7. But on the plus side, i drive past there all the time and it sure looks a lot nicer.
  8. The BNP say that they want to preserve our 'history', but what they mean is a very small window of history from around 100 years ago... at all other points in our history there have been people from all over the world coming here, or other countries invading and living here. Even our language comes mainly from Germany, it is one of the off-springs of the germanic language like dutch. Also not too long ago (in historical terms) only the working classes in this country spoke english, everyone else (middle class, upper class, royalty) all spoke French... maybe the BNP would like us to return to that part of our heritage? In short, of course they are racist.... they just try and mask it by claiming to preserve our culture... whatever that is???
  9. Only trouble i've ever had walking through there at night was with the BBC.
  10. Yes, i think money does lead to happiness. Thats why people are willing to kill for it.
  11. Now you've made some huge assumptions. I don't side with the criminals at all, and having been the victim of crime related to drugs, i have very little sympathy if they get sent to prison... but i know i could have turned out like that had i made the wrong choices... Maybe if i had i'd hope to get some help along the way to get my life back on track. And since when was being a do-gooder a bad thing? Shouldn't we all do good?
  12. No, maybe its just that i have real-life experience of things like this, obviously unlike you. I know for a fact it has nothing to do with those factors, through my own experiences, not just by sitting back and saying "all smackheads are evil and must have grown up on a council estate, and i blame the parents, and bring back hangin' even though its too good for 'em" Off to hug trees now, gets rid of any aggression... the kind you seem to have built up against mankind.
  13. OK, only Gonzo that once... and that was after a few pints... but you see my point? Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
  14. Great minds... eh? I forgot about Ghost Train *slaps wrists*
  15. I've never noticed black cabs being anymore dangerous than most of the muppets out there. After all, if they were to crash, it wouldn't be good for business. I'll agree that it gets crazy down Ecclesall Road at night, but all the drivers seem to be bad down there, not just cabs.
  16. Yeah, actually, any of us could have grown up to be a 'smackhead'. Has nothing to do with where you live or your parents or which school you went to. So you really shouldn't be so flip about it... someone close to you may be one someday.
  17. Yeah, like songs about death. My fav would be Ghost in You by Counting Crows, but thats because they're my fav band not very halloween-ish, doubt they'd know that anyway.

  20. You get the Government you deserve.
  21. I do feel sorry for anyone who has a phone mask next to their house, but come on, the people of Fulwood wouldn't actually be happy if they didn't have something to campaign against.
