  1. Hi, The best thing to do would probably be to ask in your local wool shop. Otherwise, you can learn perfectly well from the squillions of lessons on YouTube! Any new technique I need to learn, I usually find on YouTube, it's amazing! x
  2. Rock Paper Scissors at Fox hill. Erica or Donna, been really happy with cuts from both of them! Totally trust then, which is a huge thing for me! X
  3. I used mattress.co.uk, they are Silentnights factory clearance website. Free delivery, Fab service, the guys who delivered it took it upstairs and unwrapped and put it in my room read for the sheets! Tried firmness of mattresses in a few random showrooms but they were all at least twice the price. Hope that helps x
  4. I'm a member at Chapeltown Baths, and I'm really disappointed by this news. I usually walk there so I won't be using the new pool in High Green. It's not the easiest location to get to, can't wait to see how busy it is when it snows!!
  5. Last time I had the misfortune to have to call them, I spoke to someone in Belfast.
  6. Crampton&Moore (I think its called?) in Ecclesfield seems popular.
  7. I'd do...School Road, Commonside, Upperthorpe and Langsett Road, I think? I don't know if that's the quickest or shortest but it's the route that makes the most sense in my head.
  8. I'm a local, and I refuse to park there now. There is no need for it, it's blatant money grabbing from people who are already trying to make money go further. I might have used the car park to pop into the Post Office, or pop over the road to get cash out, and then used the opportunity to go into a local shop or two, but I won't be doing this any more. Not only that, I never have change to pay for parking either. Such a hassle, it's easier not to. The trouble is, with the local Asda, new Aldi just up the road, Morrisons, Ecclesfield, even the Costcutter up the road - there are enough alternatives with free parking to make it just too much hassle to be bothered.
  9. Umm...thank you to those who provided the more helpful replies! Thats brilliant, thanks!!
  10. Could anyone tell me if any of the pound shops or discount shops or similar are selling hula hoops at the moment? Have you seen any anywhere?! And yes - the round plastic thingies, not the crisps :-) Cheap as possible as I need to buy several for a work thing! Thank you xx
  11. Best price for garden gravel for us last month was Pagets in Hillsborough.
  12. Me too! I have seen so many people go through on red...how did these idiots pass their test?
  13. What a mss they've made of the skyline at Hesley Wood now. I can't help but notice it every time I drive around Chapeltown - it used to be such a lovely horizon of trees. Now it looks like a tornado has hit :-(
  14. There were 3 and an egg earlier, I watched feeding time! Hungry little things.
  15. £110 for a 5 tonne skip from Milltol. Cheapest I could find, and smaller ones are much cheaper.
  16. I've seen one of them demolish a pigeon! Didn't take too long either. They're doing a splendid public service there!
  17. I think George might have something to say about that!! He seems quite devoted to Mildred.
  18. It was beautiful when they moved in - I watched the female taking paint layers off! Clearly the grey isn't to her taste, and she preferred a map of Greenland on the wall.. They'll never get their deposit back now though
  19. Ive just this week spent hours ringing round getting quotes for a 5 tonne skip. MILLTOL in Rotherham did the best deal.
  20. I asked a friend who is a postie in the area - there are about 45,000 items of post to be delivered, which date back to Dec 2010!
  21. My idiotic dog is a serial licker of snails and slugs - the perfect way to get lungworm, so I always make sure she's covered. She has Advocate - covers most things!
  22. Give me a shout if youre not, my friend in chapeltown does it. X
  23. Just got ANOTHER! just how much post went astray? ? This time its my council tax bill, dated march 10th, 2011!
