Where can I buy fencing posts at a decent price?
sawheating replied to Mosby's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
There is a place on Barlbrough Rd in clown next to the clown test center dont know the name of it though. Realy good prices Scott -
Hi Richard its a bit hard to be a freelance Estimating/Tendering/Design/Drawings service in the plumbing sector as how could anyone know where your loyalties lie? steveroberts is correct about just paying plumbers to do there job on a domestic scale but I take it you are talking about doing it on a commercial heating and vent scale. How could you benefit a pipefitting company if they are finding the work to give to you to quote? And if you did pull any work in what company would you give it to do? That brings us back to where your loyalties lie? If some of your other clients find your giving work to other companys but not them I think you would find your work off them would come to a end. Give me a call if you need the name of a fue commercial plumbers Thank you Scott

You dont need to ask them any technical stuff to show that they know nothing about what is in there shop. Screw fix is alot better and its owned by the same company so why do B&Q end up with the less helpfull people? Maybe its because im used to a supplyers what is more intrested in helping than hiding from customers
-
People who work in B&Q have least amount of knowledge about diy or any of there products than any other company in there line of business. The 'plumbing expert' at Darnal knows nothing about plumbing unless its speed fit, what anyone could use after reading instuctions. Tell him to work any where else but B&Q

Average Price to Hang a Door?
sawheating replied to Pinnacle PAT's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
If people are willing to let someone fit them a door for £10 then let them. Its the same when people ask on the forum 'how much for a outside tap fitting?' it starts off at around £60 for a companie with all the relevent qualifications and insurance to do it, but within an hour someone with the user name dave or equivalent offering to do it for a 4 pack of skol and a kebab. ( sorry to any tradesmen called dave but you know what I mean) Thank you Scott -
Jack of all trades master of none??
sawheating replied to alex1985's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
As has already been said some companies employ other trades like myself, I am a heating and gas engineer but I employ someone for the SAW joinery side of the company. I also employ someone for tiling and electrical work as I'm not jack of all trades. Ill stick to my gas as its what I know best. -
Doesn't everyone but that doesn't mean its the best. For such a small job you would be best doing it yourself, find a local plumber or ask a neighbour. I live in S13 area if thats close to you? Thank you Scott

As Steve said check your toilet. I'm sure thats what the pipe is for as a header tank would have a overflow higher up. Thanks Scott
