  2. A friend of mine has just posted on FB thats she has seen a similar object at around the same time and we are in Glasgow!
  3. Dont come on here very much Red but heard your news and had to come post! My aunt had cancer of the tonsils last year and has made a full recovery and has since gone back to work, it had spread to her lymph nodes too! I am sure you will be absolutly fine and i hope you get re-elected tonight Sav.x.x.x.x.

  5. i use moneysaving expert alot nowadays, not been on here for ages on the mse forum there is a wedding section. The lovely ladies there have so far saved me just about 1k on my plans and that was just for 2 things!!!
  6. well we are not having a holiday this year as having to save to get married next year! i would hate to take them both away just now owuld be so stressful they are such hard work:help: we had a 1st birthday party today for nathan which was more for adults, started at 1pm and finished at 9pm!! we are all done in:( nathan only slept for just under hour today sp heres to a full nights sleep!
  7. Mini Sav starts school on the 17th August! Its does not seem 5 mins since she was born Nathan Turned 1 yesterday, been such a quick year. He has started walking a couple weeks ago and is just not a baby now more.. we spend the first years of thier lives wishing for next steps and once they get there we want them to be back to babies!
  8. I had not one problem renewing, it was painless. Although i never ever got my pack through:suspect: But they are all eejits as last year when Nathan was born they messed up everything giving me money taking it away giving it to me after 4 or 5 updates i finally ended up where i was in the first place and everything is alright now! I am dreading it in a few weeks when i have to change child care providers:rolleyes:
  9. If anyone witnessed it and took the registration then report it to the police as its an offence to fail to stop and report hitting a dog! hope the poor thing is ok now.x
  10. Uri Gellar new nothing about it until they phoned him he said he wont beleive it until he has spoken to MJ's family and a doctor has confirmed it.
  11. well i think i will send them to people who live far away and the rest can just wait for an invite. I only need to pay for stamps so its not a fortune thanks for all the responses.x.x.x.
  12. aww thanks sean, so anyone else along with The Mighty O know anyone who is doing it?
  13. :hihi: i totally agree with the tack you talk about. I have been to wedding shows but only cause i won the tickets would never pay to get in! I also am using the net for everything research wise as not only need to save every penny but would not pay the prices for the glossy magazines as they are just full of adverts! I have an aunt who works in print dept who will print the cards and a fellow forummer is designing my invites so basically all it would cost is the stamps and evelopes. I had never heard of them before but a few folk have said they are a good idea. Thanks for your reply:D
  14. I wouldnt be offended, i would ask if you needed assistance if i saw you struggling with anything but other than that would leave you to your swimming! some people should be ashamed of the way they treat people. Mini sav starts school this year and has a little girl in her class who is in a wheel chair. All the kids have accepted her while some of the parents just stared. I had never met her or her mum before but we sat with them during the induction and mini now has a firm friend and i now know a parent. she told me people often stare and call her daughter names in the street even though they know nothing about her or her disability!
  15. I have heard a lot about save the date cards and wondered how many people used them? are they good to send or not? is it more for day guests than evening? I have read somewhere that they should be sent out about 12 months before. Any advice or experiences are are welcome
  16. I am getting married October 2010 and have booked the venue, the official to do the ceremony and the band! I am leaving it until january for the rest. If i were you i would start planning, if you really dont want to plan maybe you dont want a big wedding. If thats the case grab a couple witnesses and do a low key thing
  17. my son is 10 months and was really flat early months. The doctor told me just to turn his head when sleeping which has helped, his head is still slightly misshaped but its only me that can see it really. You can get stuff to rectify it (skull cap thing) but it costs a lot of money. I would just move your little girls head when she is sleeping and see how you get on.
  18. Last time i went i done it alone and done the full walk, the support from everyone was amazing! Especially the last few miles the people struggling on and everyone including the stewards were done in but still cheering and smiling. I am kind of regretting choosing the half moon this time but that was due to my mother in law (to be) only wanting to do the half moon!
  19. if your getting insurance then phone the insurance up and ask them to fax the cover note to your local post office (check they issue tax discs first!!) or to a post office that is local to where the car is being picked up. Collect log book and go to said po and tax the car.. I have done this in the past so its ok to do! You will need to get the fax number from the post office but its better to have this bit of hassle rather than being caught with no tax! I think you get points for driving without tax and being a new driver you want to avoid any points! Congratulations .x
  20. I am once again doing the moonwalk, although this time its the Half moon. Just wanting to see if anyone from the lovely forum is doing it? Its on the 20th June and i am getting nervous as i am poorly just now with a bad cough and struggling but i will walk no matter what! The last time there were a few from here going so if anyone is give me a shout:D This is also a shameless thread to ask for any sponsorship from you lovely folk. I do have permission to post it:thumbsup: If anyone feels like they can spare a few pennies for the walk the walk foundation then please go to my just giving page below. The money is used in the fight against breast cancer, not only the research side but helping people recover and making thier fight a lot more comfortable! http://www.justgiving.com/karensavage Thanks in advance
  21. I do , i know i do and cant help it!!!
  22. I left mini sav when she was 6 days old to go to a concert! She was almost 4 weeks early and no way i was missing it. One bit of advice though, make sure you take extra breast pads and be prepared for sore boobs by the end of the night unless you can manage to express at some point in th evening. I left her for just 4 hours and by time i got home i was so engorged and leaking all over the place as i had not expected it! have a fab night and dont feel guilty, mums need time to themselves.
  23. I went to the baby show in Glasgow and to be honest it was not that great, I was wanting to get a buggy and they had little to show! Its good for info on local classes and things like that. I think if you are pregnant its great but if the baby is already here you might not get as much out of it as you would like.
  24. when you get your matb1 send it asap to your hr dept and they will let you know if you qualify, if you dont they will send you a form (think its called smp1 form) you then fill out Maternity alllowance form and you can claim that. more info here:http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/ni17a/
