Has anyone used the salon 229 on Handsworth road for teeth whitening? is it any good or would it be better done at a dentist ? Anyone recommend and an idea on price?

My advice, don't do it. Once you start it becomes a regular thing and it isn't actually good for anything. If you still want to go ahead have a good read of sources like this:

Salon 229 isn't a peroxide whitener so don't expect gleaming pearly whites. They use a process similar to that used by dental hygenists. There is significant improvement even after one session.

Last time around they were charging £89 @ 229, the "ultrasonic" at our dentist was close to £200.
