What made you pick your username?

mel is part of my surname.........the bell just thymes well with it...in a stupid way

i used to sign the covers of punk comp tapes i used to do for mates "A MeL ThE PrOdUcTiOn 1986" etc

Whitehorses cos I used to ask to be taken to see them when I was a litle girl.Couldn't think of owt else at the time!!

 

I always get that lovely song from that programme in my head. It's a rare forummer who can boast their own theme tune. :)

Yes, this topic was done before, but I can still say that I chose my name from the most famous Anglo-Saxon thane who was the lord of the Manor of Hallam at the time of the Norman Conquest. I was actually surprised that the name hadn't already been taken, as it seemed pretty obvious to me. He made an accommodation with the Conqueror but later rebelled against him and so got topped (the only Anglo-Saxon noble to be executed).

 

He does have a school named after him too...
