canadablade: what was your initial complaint about?

Basically about Gerrard bringing the game into disrepute m8.

We all have a go at Robben and Ronaldo and most of the Arsenal team for diving all over the shop but, with Gerrard being Englands golden boy nobody seems to notice him doing exactly the same.

Told the FA he was a cheat and a diver and that i thought he was a cheat of the highest order :hihi: I said Sheffield United and its fans were robbed on saturday AGAIN just like when he dove and got a pen in the match at BDTBL.

I also sent the link to the video Tosh put on here and told them to look at Liverpools number 3 who was 2 yards inside the box before the kick was even taken ( The kick should have been retaken) amd said Gerrard should have been booked for diving aqns the Blades should have been given a free kick ;)

Regards CB

Cue abuse from the owls on here :suspect:

You might be just the person CB along with FB to make a noise.

Our game is something we think is the best league in the world.

Our game is also on a global stage week in and week out and for ex pats to start making noises on how the game is refereed can't be any good for the image.

Compare our game to other sports in the UK and in North America that have embraced modern technology we are lacking way behind.

By rights, if it's one of their players doing the encroachment, I should think it only fair that the other team - us - should be awarded a goal kick. Same with throws taken in the wrong place. Why do the offending team get to take it again in the right place? They buggered it up, not the other team. And don't get me started on players being made to leave the pitch after being injured when being fouled, and his team - the fouled-against one - having to play 10 against 11 until the ref decides the player can come back on.

Who makes these stupid rules?

You win a throw in? Splendid, but make sure you don't cheat and take it from the right place or your team lose the advantage.

You win a penalty? Great, but if one of your players encroaches into the area, and you score, then the goal doesn't stand. You lose advantage because you broke the rules. Goal kick awarded.

One of your players scythes an opposition player down causing him to be injured and leave the pitch for treatment? Fair one, but the player doing the 'scything' also leaves the pitch in order that both teams remain balanced.

nope they don't have to leave anything open for selling on the day, newcastle was season ticket only for years.

ah fair enough.

If they only give the bottom tier to away fans then that leaves approx 31,000 for us.

I doubt we could sell that many, but agreed, if we can we should then.

I wonder if they will let us know whether they are going to allow the Bramall Lane upper, before the deadline 31st March, as I would swap if I could.

p.s (voted kit 1)

Definately kit 1

I think there is a few teams swapping kits earlier than usual. Football teams have probably cottoned on to the fact there is a hard core of fans that will buy the kit even if there is a change every year

I think it was inevitable with the fairly successful season we have had so far.

It's not so bad i suppose buying a shirt for a prem side but too much for teams from the lower leagues.

Agggh!! Drop it for Gawd's sake! Are you stil banging on about this? You lost, bad refereeing decisions occur, get over it! :loopy:

Surely the Blade's on here are sick of this as well??

This is the reply I got from the F.A. regarding my concern over the poor refereeing.

Thank you for contacting The Football Association.

Any discussions on experiments to the Laws of the Game must take place

within the forum of the International Football Association Board (IFAB),

the body responsible for the Laws of the Game of which The FA is a

member. The Laws of the Game are universal and applicable at all levels

of the game around the world.

The IFAB consists of The FA, the Scottish, Welsh and Irish FA as well as

FIFA. For any rule-change to be sanctioned it requires 6 out of 8 votes;

each national Association receives one vote and FIFA receive four.

The agenda for this year's meeting includes FIFA's proposed revision of

Law 4 (relating to the Players Equipment) to prohibit players from

displaying political, religious or personal statements on their

equipment, with transgressions to be handled by the FIFA Disciplinary

Committee.

A further submission from the world governing body proposes that a

yellow card be shown to any player who covers his or her face with a

mask while celebrating a goal.

Among the items for discussion are goal-line technology, with three

separate projects submitted for consideration, and the sanctions to be

imposed on any player who intentionally strikes an opponent with an

elbow.

You may be interested to hear that the IFAB will also address the issues

of pitch-side TV monitors and video evidence.

If you would like further information on the next IFAB meeting, you can

access the full agenda via the following link:

I can also assure you that referees try to uphold the Laws of the Game

to the best of their abilities and we are confident that no bias is

shown towards any player or club.

The Customer Relations team exists in order to collate views from the

general public, build a picture of public opinion and feed this back

internally within The FA.

While I appreciate this may not alleviate your concerns, I would

nevertheless like to thank you for taking the time and trouble to

contact us.

Kind regards

Looks like Morgs will be replacing Lucketti tomorrow & Warnock has suggested that Jags may play in midfield,I do not like the idea of Davis back at the moment,I would prefer Jags at the back to allow him to keep an hold of Johnson, Davis was too slow at Goodison earlier in the season.I would play Keef on the wing with young Quinny & Fathi in the middle of the park with CKR.
