We in England are constantly accused of racism, especially on the illegal immigrant situation with the boats arriving from our friends beaches across the Channel on a daily basis  .

Well it looks as though our neighbours in the so-called Union of Europe are not so laid back when it comes to immigrants landing on their shores .

Just last week our Friends in Ireland returned 50 people attempting to enter their fair and welcoming land , They returned them to our shores without comment from those who chow on about our own feeble attempts to stop the exodus of usually young men from France . Double standards int it .

I'd be surprised if there would be any 'backlash' for their actions,  now if we did the same what would the outcome be?

Very different I suspect!

What on earth makes you think that every European country and most countries around the world have their own brand of racism.

We are no exception.

I thought they couldn't be returned, have you got a link with proof?

Currently 14.8% of the UK population were born elsewhere.

https://iasservices.org.uk/how-many-immigrants-are-in-the-uk/#:~:text=As of the year ending,of the total UK population.

In Ireland 22% of the population were born overseas.

 https://gript.ie/22-of-population-of-ireland-born-overseas-new-figures-show/

Ireland is a small country with a population  of only 5,089, 478. ( latest 2024 figures. ). The strain on public services is considerable, despite which Ireland took in 104,870 Ukrainian refugees in addition to its existing immigrants.

Yes, Ireland is a welcoming land, but when the next door neighbours government are so incompetent that they have illegal immigrants in their control, then allow them to wander off with no supervision, then announce that they're going to send them to Rwanda while not having a clue as to where they are, or whether they are potentially a danger to the public it needs a response.

Initially 5,700 asylum seekers were identified as being the first to be sent to Rwanda. Problem being that only 2,143 of those were doing as they were asked and reporting in and could be located. God alone knows where the other 3,557 of them are. Bearing in mind they were the ones who didn't do as they were asked I would assume they were the ones we'd most like to get rid of.

It's not a strain if they are working, and why shouldn't they?

It could be a strain on housing
