crookesey 635 #14 Posted January 22 With me it’s not the cars I’ve owned that I loved, more the cars that I should have owned. I currently run a 2010 Freelander, when a Defender is what I would have preferred.
 Share this content via...
RJRB 688 #15 Posted January 22 My dad had several Company Cars and as the parent Company owned Deighton Motors (Rootes Group) that’s the brand they got. So back in the 50s employees could borrow a car from the car pool on a rota basis. There were not that many cars on the road so when a Humber Super Snipe turned up in all its glory it caused a bit of a stir down Walkley. Thereafter it was Hillman Minx ,Super Minx and finally a top of the range Hillman Hunter which I got to drive as chauffeur if there was a boozy Company do on.
