Bilge
What would people like to see in the Balti Ki g unit? Ideally something Broomhill doesn't already have such as: - A decent Indian restaurant - A proper chip shop - A proper baker's shop No thanks to nail bars, letting agents, charity shops and hairdressers. dan2802
Im gonna wish which ever business takes over the premises well but as there is no parking outside anymore (well done SCC), it'll be a challenge.

I don't think the lack of parking was a factor in the demise of Balti Ming... no one in their right mind would have gone to eat there whilst not being at least moderately drunk, but more likely absolutely pished. 1

That was a weird sketch - all the parking at the front was removed for “social distancing”. Now permanent. I agree with the post above though - nowt to do with balti king closing Edited March 25, 2023 by makapaka
Bilge
What difference does parking make here? Who in their right mind expects to drive up to anything in Broomhill and park outside? I personally never managed it before on the silly zigzag pavement parking area. If you want the drive-up experience you can try Crookes or elsewhere, but it'll still be increasingly difficult as we all move away from car-dependence. As for deliveries, all the other shops, pubs and restaurants seem to manage somehow. So it can't be that big a problem. 1
