Certain posters are keyboard warriors, they must get some kind of a buzz with posts that either start or end with calling the poster derogatory names. Surprised this has seemingly by-passed the Mods somehow.

Angel1.

Says the bloke who calls Jeremy Corbyn "comrade Corbyn" and Diane Abbott "abacus Abbott".

Very good article here:

https://www.spectator.co.uk/2019/04/piers-morgan-why-as-a-former-remainer-id-now-back-leave/

Piers Morgan: why, as a former Remainer, I’d now back Leave

Clutching at straws now if you are relying on another right wing, millionaire, populist, anti working class friend of Donald Trump writing in a Conservative supporting magazine for support.

I hear that Gary Glitter and Jimmy Saville have also now come out in favour of Leave.

So because he is rich , friends with Trump ,  etc  etc  his opinion is worth less than yours ?

No, just most of England.

"Most people in England would prefer a no-deal Brexit to remaining in the EU, according to a new poll."

What was it Piers stated in the article that you disagree with?

What leavers voted for was largely confirmed as not happening the day after the referendum.

Thus, it falls at the first hurdle and continues downwards after that.

It's worth less than yours as well. Morgan's view of anything is worthless.

Banging on about the Iraq war whilst forgetting he fabricated pictures of British soldiers committing war crimes? Thats taking the **** even for him. Do you want him on your side? I ****ing would not.

No, it simply shows where his interests lie.

Leaving the EU will predominantly benefit the very rich and Piers Morgan is very rich.

They've been very selective about what they quoted from that poll and didn't link to it to prevent people checking. They also missed out Scotland - funny that.

Here's YouGov's summary page and the full poll results are here

The only question they are quoting the results from it is this one:

And if Britain has not agreed a deal by April 12th and the European Union refused to grant a further extension, what do you think should happen?

Britain should leave the European Union without a deal
Britain should withdraw our application to leave and remain in the EU
Don't know

Not quite the same as implied in their article is it.

From YouGov's reporting of the results 50% of people think no deal would be a bad outcome.

Only 26% want to leave without a deal, 11% favour May's deal, 12% support leaving but staying in the single market and customs union and lastly 37% want to remain. Very different from what the Metro article implies.

I suspect that he is as much a remainer as our vey own Lockdoctor who claims he also voted remain.

Apart from that, even in England the majority of people support remaining so to claim that the majority of people in England support leaving the EU with no deal means that there will be remainers who believe in leaving with no deal which is let's say highly unlikely.

The Metro uses a highly selective interpretation of a reputable poll to get a headline which is aimed, much like many of Donald Trump's statements, at a section of the population who neither know nor care whether it is accurate as long as it fits with their particular belief.
