smithy266 Â Â 21 #17 Posted March 10, 2018 I stop shaving when the clocks go back, and start again when the clocks go forward. I missed a couple of years when my beard was blotchy coloured, now it is all a distinguished grey. And when I shave it off, ladies tell me how young I look. Funky_Gibbon   42 #18 Posted March 10, 2018 Enlighten us all . What does CLEAN Shaven mean.  It literally means 'to have no facial hair'. No stubble, no 5 o'clock shadow, no hint of hair. It has nothing whatsoever to do with hygiene. If you think it does then you've been suckered by the advertisers.  https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/clean-shaven  ---------- Post added 10-03-2018 at 14:40 ----------  I stop shaving when the clocks go back, and start again when the clocks go forward. Stable   10 #22 Posted March 10, 2018 I think shaving is overrated. I prefer to rip it out with a pair of mole grips like a real man.
 Share this content via...

Cyclone   10 #24 Posted March 10, 2018 It's just a fashion thing isn't it, it goes in cycles.  The idea that having a beard is the lazy option is presumably only put forwards by people who've never tried it. They need trimming and keeping in shape, it takes just as long as shaving. The least intense (and thus laziest) option is to shave periodically and grow hair only until it needs tidying and then to just shave it all off again.
