Theresa May has not ruled out yet more cuts for the disabled!

Not all those poor folk died as a direct result of being denied pip.

The ones on the first list did. Have you even looked at it, or are you as much of an ostrich-head-in-the-sand as your posts would suggest?

Here's a short excerpt-

Elaine Lowe, 53. Suffering from COPD and fearful of losing her benefits. In desperation, Elaine chose to commit suicide.

Mark Wood, 44. Found fit for work by Atos, against his Doctors advice and assertions that he had complex mental health problems. Starved to death after benefits stopped, weighing only 5st 8lb when he died.

Paul Reekie, 48, the Leith based Poet and Author. Suffered from severe depression. Committed suicide after DWP stopped his benefits due to an Atos ‘fit for work’ decision.

Leanne Chambers, 30. Suffered depression for many years which took a turn for the worst when she was called in for a WCA. Leanne committed suicide soon after.

Karen Sherlock, 44. Multiple health issues. Found fit for work by Atos and denied benefits. Fought a long battle to get placed into the support group of ESA. Karen died the following month of a heart attack.

If someone gives you money on a regular basis over a long period of time you become dependant on that money classing it as part of your income and not preparing for the fact you may get better.

Which of the above got better?

I am glad that the government are reassessing all claimants because you can bet that there are a lot of folk out there who are undeserving or whose condition has improved and do not cancel their own pip.

I can tell you're glad. Reality is though, that the existence of a few false claims, does not justify the current strategy of killing thousands of vulnerable disabled people who are entitled, and, in desperate need of, their benefits.

Please don't throw "Nazi" around. It devalues the argument. This government is NOT National Socialist. There are many words, or insults, I could feel justified in using.

"Nazi" is not one. It both dilutes real nazism or similar, and looks like the old "typical, call everyone you don't agree with Hitler" to people who may not share your view but might have been persuaded by

I get your point but for people who have been though the whole PIP or ESA system it feels like state Vs you and many find it very frightening and makes them more ill.

onewheeldave,

Spot on. A friend(Lofty) I had when I lived in London who was disabled/HIV+ ;killed himself after losing his benefits /DLA and being deemed fit for work.Lofty was a scholar and a gent and only 45yr old.

In my opinion, the right of the Cons are hardhearted mongrels.

Sorry to hear about your friends death a similar thing happened to someone I knew.

There are plenty of well documented cases of atos going directly against medical advice and declaring people who with serious ongoing health problems to be fit for work.

Atos , Captial, Maximums who do these assessments are given targets to save money regardless who it effects.

They have not got any source all made up.The cons have not announced their manifesto so this is fake news.

Since 2010 their is plenty of stories about how sick and disabled are treated their is websites with personal accounts of experience with the system.

Very difficult one this. I have known many people over the years who have milked the system. Some who openly say they laugh at people going out to work of a Monday morning. One who bragged he could now go out drinking all day. These people ruin the system for those in genuine need.

If you need "help" filling in any claim forms I know a guy who charges £25 per form.

Still think the system needs leaving as it is?

Your point is...?

And yes, it does need changing so people don't need any help.

I know that those who take the **** do exist, but it's worth point out that even the DWP have acknowledged that their research has shown that only 0.7% of the total Government budget for welfare benefits is lost to fraud and overpayment.

Rather different to the figure of the £16 billion pounds worth of benefits that go unclaimed each year.

Deliberately acting in a way that causes someone else to die is murder, I hope you have reported your findings to the police.
