5 million population increase, is the UK close to breaking point?

Don't forget to factor in the increased birth rate of immigrants

This is the problem.

You can see it. You know it's happening.

It is a serious problem.

For example the Roma have loads of kids. And cram the generations into a smaller space of time than us.

We know that the previous Labour government sent people to eastern Europe to encourage people to come here, enticing them with the NHS and various benefits etc. They should be done for treason for me.

Have you any evidence that immigrants have a higher birth rate, or are you just assuming that they do?

Our Nige, his germanese wife, and their two kids.

Not to mention Our Nige's kids from his first marriage.

And any others he hasn't told us about yet.

. . . and about 50,000 Roma gypsy kids in Page Hall that I swear weren't here a few years ago

It's true I think, chem1st of all people posted a link a while back - I'll see if I can find it. We're not quite full but we're getting there. Some other countries are too.

Here's some numbers, a year out of date and not too right of centre but something to chew on. I can't be arsed that's for sure.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/british-birth-rate-leaps-by-18-in-a-decade-9107483.html

The only important number is the total - how we get there doesn't matter.

We need to be reducing the population, not increasing it!
