Cyclone
Evenin everyone Seeing as everyone's on about 50 shades of grey - the female perspective. What is your attitude to porn in general? This is Russell's take on it...and I'm inclined to agree "The need to validate masculinity through beautiful women...to show the world what a man he is" "Fear of true intimacy, inability to relate to women in an honest and intimate way" What do you think? Love As Always Sol I think those are fragments of sentences without any meaning. There is no subject to either of them.
monkey104
Do you really think all those women have agreed to star in the films and are paid an equal share? If you do, you are deluded. I can imagine vulnerable women are forced into participating in these films through fear or desperation and paid very little to have their dignity removed. As I said before if everyone is paid equally, is a consenting adult and treated with respect then its ok but how often is that the case? Are there any porn directors on this site available for comment? ---------- Post added 24-02-2015 at 08:34 ---------- My comment on this point is if its slave labour then abolishing porn will enable the slaves to go and make a living. (of course abolishing porn would be a challenge) You do know that there is a big difference in wages in the porn industry don't you? Women are paid vastly more than men. It is probably one of the only industries where this happens. I don't think you quite got my comparison with slave labour. I meant that if all the factories in third world countries that make our overpriced clothing for the European market were closed due to the terrible pay and working conditions, what would those out of work people do? Starve? Same for the porn industry. If all the sex workers were put out of business, what would they do for a living?

No They are paid a sufficient amount to do what they are asked. They do not have to do it. Are they consenting? Yes - If you know otherwise, you should call the police immediately, it would be rape. TimmyR
Of course they are aren't paid equally. What movies do pay their actors equally? Yes - If you know otherwise, you should call the police immediately, it would be rape. Do you have such faith in humanity that all the women in videos you can watch online are consenting? You are deluded if so. Have you heard of sex trafficking? Please read the following articles and enlighten yourself: http://humantraffickingsearch.net/wp/the-connection-between-sex-trafficking-and-pornography/ http://www.covenanteyes.com/2011/09/07/the-connections-between-pornography-and-sex-trafficking/ "In every country, almost half of the respondents said that they were forced to make pornography while enslaved in sex trafficking." "Former porn actress Jan Meza describes the fraud in the industry. She says that the actors and actresses do not know what they are agreeing to or after their initial agreement they couldn’t get away. Something that should be noted, especially in the case of fraud, but also generally, that federal law is clear that initial consent does not preclude the possibility of the individual being victimized. Pornographers, like other pimps, learn how to exploit economic and psychological vulnerabilities to coerce them to get into and stay in the sex industry. [15] Other times they threaten or use alcohol and drugs to induce compliance, which is included in some state definitions for coercion." Porn is a form of sex trafficking. It is exploitation of the vulnerable and by watching it you perpetuate that exploitation. Edited February 24, 2015 by TimmyR
Berberis
Parroting Russel again, Sol? Not like you that! Do you want a flame war? Because that's how you get a flame war!
RootsBooster
Do you want a flame war? Because that's how you get a flame war! No, I was just having a light-hearted dig at Sol, he has a habit of saying "Russel says this..." rather than giving an independent opinion of his own. There's nothing wrong with that of course, it's just a pattern that's been noticed.

Agent Orange
Russell Brand! Is that the fellow who claims to have rogered more women than you could shake a ****ty stick at? Good role model that. The very same man. The one who rang up the grandfather of one of his conquests and bragged about what he did to his grand daughter. Pity the OP's morals are being guided by someone who is morally bankrupt.
