holymoses
How can you compare CCTV, which not only has a legitimate purpose (and in some cases are their for our protection) with a random person with a camera?? Be very wary of CCTV you never know who's watching http://www.newsletter.co.uk/news/regional/cctv-operator-spied-on-woman-court-told-1-6126789
eyemere
Would the OP be just as confrontational if the photographer had been female?
boldforester
What if the fears are genuine and the photographer has a child in winter clothes fetish? We must find and destroy them. Yeah, have heard there are paediatricians moving into the area:hihi:
Looker
cctv is different as in it can only record the premises it is protecting. Private cctv can not record public areas, roadway, footpaths outside of your boundaries, the council can get you to take it down if it intrudes on neighbours properties. holymoses
A famous swim wear manufacturer has just had a massive recall. After many swimmers experienced extreme prejudice in some cases violence. Some were bewildered when they escorted out of public baths. Apparently the glue used to affix the lettering of their logo had failed on both sides making the outer two letters fall off. Speedos where unavailable for comment. Ha3el
Camera equipment is expensive. Have you considered that the photographer could have been worried for his kit if he felt hostility. It's one thing saying you would apologise and show the pictures but would you honestly trust a confrontational stranger with upwards of several hundred quids worth of camera (and possibly more) not to get angry and smash it? shanes teeth
I'm not sure that there was any mention of intimidation Simply asked him what he what taking photos off and replied In a defensive manner. .snow scenes... So I said in that case you won't mind showing me then...got very defensive and ran off..... Sounds like a reasonable request to me. You're in the park near the children's playground. Someone sees you looking in your handbag for something. They approach you. "I think you have some drugs in your bag. Do you mind if I have a look" Reasonable request or not? holymoses
God forbid your checking your trouser pocket for some change for an ice cream. They'd be a lynch mob!!!!
morecamberox
On the one occasion I have wanted to take a photo of a child I didn't know, I simply asked the accompanying adult first. As it happened, she had no objection, and, if she had, I would have refrained. Maybe a bit of common sense from all parties would have been a good idea... Guest
By all means take photos but not of children!!! Hilarious!! So you don't have any photos of your own kids or relatives? God forbid that you might have taken a photo in a public place which happened to have children in it. I hope you burned them all if you discovered they did. I take it you've now bought a burka or other suitable fully-enclosed protective garment so no-one can see your children at all..........better to be safe than sorry. eyemere, don't be silly, they'd have been posing for photos if it was a woman!
