  1. Just out of interest for readers Ponybabes but where are you situated?
  2. Hi anyone got or breaking an abi dawnstar need a fridge thanks tel 07914930047
  3. Yes Daven as us women get older are bones stop being as dense and easily fracture. We normally get our vit D from sunlight and dairy produce. Years ago lots of children had rickets which was due to lack of this vitamin and these days it is rearing its head again because of the amount of children staying indoors playing computer games all the time. Hope you will be feeling better soon with your vitamins. Good luck
  4. Some friends of ours have 2 farm cats. A black and white one and a ginger one. The ginger one 'Dec' has been missing for 2 days which is totally out of character. The black and white one often goes 'partying' but not Dec. He won t wander onto the road and always stays in the fields and around the stables. Always greets us every morning and afternoon for feed time. He is a lovely natured cat around 3 years old. Very friendly. He is very much like a cat/dog as he jumps up to your legs for attention and loves being stroked and loved. If you live or have friends on CROSS HOUSE ROAD could you please ask them to check sheds and out buildings to make sure he hasn't been locked in accidentally. If you see him could you please give Nicola a call as we re all missing him terribly. 07748593752. Many thanks for taking time out to read this. HE S COME HOME. WANTING PLENTY OF FOOD AND CUDDLES.
  5. Hi MaisieM. Our daughter was diagnosed at 11 months, on medication for 4 years , took off it and is now 14 and with no repeat of seizures. We put our son into the same room with her incase she fitted in the night and this was fine till he left home. We too were worried about here, hardly slept a wink worrying. I used to put a duvet on the floor so if she did fall out of bed, she d land on a softer duvet rather than the floor. We also were advised to tie a lindt bunny bell to her wrist so with doors open , we would hear the bell if she was having a seizure. Obviously she had a gate on her door but her bedroom door and ours was left open. These baby monitors and cameras sound good but i think, you ll spend all night watching and listening that you ll soon end up sleep deprived. Good luck honey and i hope everything works out for you all.
  6. Our sister felt sorry for a woman sleeping on the streets over christmas, so she went out of her way to buy her some hot soup and hot drink of chocolate. When she gave these to the woman , she turned round and said, " I d prefer money". Our sister was gobsmacked and felt really hurt by this.
  7. right Mr Charlie. Yes, you re struggling like alot of people but forgive me when i say what i m going to say; No matter what your financial situation is, you have 2 beautiful , healthy children, you have a roof over your head kepping you dry and warm, you have food on the table. you do have a job and you and your wife are healthy enough to be able to go out to work and you know something else, YOU ARE RICHER THAN YOU THINK! Many people out there apart from people in Ethiopia and Syria but people in Britain havent got half of what you have. Would you swop any of the above mentioned just to have money in your pocket? i think not! Now, change things about your life, be more positive about what you have got instead of what you haven't got and appreciate everything. I m sure just bt doing that the world will look a better place and i m sure your kids will appreciate a dad who s happy knowing what he has got and be proud of that fact. Good luck!
  8. Are the new owners going to have a firework display, does anybody know? Always been a great night there for the last 6/7 years that we have been! Got something to live up to from previous owners!
  9. I am so disappointed. Thought he was super fit but just look at that stomach! Vin Diesel! Or is he pregnant !
  10. Prior to getting our daughter a mobile - she s now 14, I made it clear that I would not be topping it up and until she s 18 and I as her parent am in my rights to check this phone whenever I want to, which is most nights. She is on facebook and one of my rules was that I should be one of her 'friends' so I can check on it as often as I wish. That when she is 18 only then will things be different. Very often I have pulled her to the side and told her to delete certain stuff. She broke one of her phones last year and I made her wait 4 months for a new one. I must admit she was lost but social development goes out of the window with these phones. Just this week because she hasnt been fetching her dirty clothes and i will admit, dirty underwear left on bedroom floor, down for the wash, I have told her if this continues, I will confiscate her phone and she will be grounded for as many days as I find dirty items left on floor. One thing 'for' these mobile phones, they are a brilliant bargaining tool for us parents to use. I certainly would go round to the friends parents house and let her know that until she is 18 she is under her parents jurasdiction.but this should of been made clear earlier. if the police are brought into it, they will look at the friends parents as abducting her and be in trouble for it.
  11. I was called in under a new scheme to have under 50s screened, my mammogram was done and I was called back a week later, I thought it was to have another mammogram done but unfortunately there was an abnormality found in my left breast. that day I was examined by my consultant and he felt a small abnormality in my right side and wanted it checked out straight away, so, I had ultrasound done and biopsies done. Unfortunately, although i couldn't feel these lumps, they were both the dreaded 'c'. If it weren't for the 'magic' hands of my consultant , my second lump would of caused big problems for me by the time i would of found it. Yes i've had oeration to remove lumps and now undergoing chemo but my outlook is good and this time next year, I will be a neddy - no evidence of disease I still think i'm lucky and owe my life to my consultant. Don't worry about things, the people there are lovely and SO efficient in what they do. The consultants are great and certainly know their jobs!
  12. she s off Boynton road near the school main entrance, number 72 i think. left side about half way down.
  13. Probs at this time of day, most would of given up and gone home to catch up on sleep. Shall we all go to Attercliffe, if thats where it is and play music on their streets, very loud, maybe 60s, 70s, 80s music and keep the party goers awake for the day.
  14. hey, Cyclone, if I knew it was going to take so long, i possibly would of considered walking. I certainly did half way up Netherthorpe Road ! The only reason we took the car is because of having cancer treatment at the appointment and walking back would not be an alternative. The alternative route you ve given is an idea though. thought going quickest route would be a fuel saver but not in this case.
