Bypassblade   10 #14 Posted April 17, 2013 Morgan in slightly from 3/1 to 5/2 Downes still favourite at 5/4 Sky Bet  Jim are you serious Wally Downes, that thick pillock who caused all the fuss at Reading (IMS) was it not cos Keef, thumped that horrid little long haired git, whose name escapes me.  I would not let Downes through the door to clean the bogs, how on earth he can be favourite is beyond me, but knowing KM I'm not surprised. Hotmale 1954 Â Â 201 #15 Posted April 17, 2013 Morgs is definitely conducting himself very well, and saying the right things at the right time, and with passion. He could turn out to be a cracker. United could maybe do better, but they could do a whole lot worse. See how Morgs goes I say.
 Share this content via...

United could maybe do better, but they could do a whole lot worse. See how Morgs goes I say.  If I'm honest I'd have Morgs like a shot, he's United through and through and like Warnock will make the players run through brick walls.  If we have to go via the dreaded P Offs so be it, but be sure with Chris in charge he will take no prisoners, there will be no quarter taken or given. strangerthe6 Â Â 10 #17 Posted April 17, 2013 I don't think there's any doubt that it's Chris Morgans job if he wants it. I'm sure Mr McCabe will soon be telling us how surprised we'd be if we knew the quality of the applicants, proving what a great job it is and how we are respected in the game etc etc. I think the only serious contenders are first time managers or anyone who is desperate for a job. As Chris is already employed he's probably the best option as well as the cheapest. Who never gets it has an almost impossible job if we don't go up as there'll be more sales at the end of the season.
 Share this content via...
web1 Â Â 10 #18 Posted April 17, 2013 Its a similar situation to the one flitcroft found himself in, and showed evryone what a hungry 1st timer can do, but tbf united is a lot bigger prospect(yes i sad it) than Baaaaarnsley and the expectations are a lot higher, Morgan could well be found out at a higher level, dont know what his involvement was in the previous management but Flitcroft was Hills right hand man. OPEN BORDERS   10 #24 Posted April 17, 2013 Next Permanent Sheffield United Manager, Apparently these are the current odds with people linked with the job, I will put my thoughts next to each in bold.  Chris Morgan Would be a popular fans choice  Wally Downes Don't want this berk within 100 miles of the Lane  Neil Warnock Non starter IMO  Chris Wilder He's done okay but could he step up  Stuart McCall Dreadful at Bradford, done okay in easier Scotland  John Pemberton Like morgs would be popular  Phil Parkinson Done okay at Bradford, but could he step up  Steve Kean Not in a million years  Eddie Howe He would not leave Bournemouth  Nick Barmby Never  Gary Megson If people thought Wilson was hated, then KM would be mental to even consider this bloke  Paul Dickov One FA cup win over Liverpool not enough  Micky Adams Tried once & failed  Paul Jewell Please god no  Glyn Hodges No experience  Alan Knill No thanks  Steve McClaren LMAO   Aidy Boothroyd No thanks  Iain Dowie Never and too ugly  Karl Robinson Would he leave MKD  Kevin Blackwell Getting chuffin silly now  Michael Appleton No  Owen Coyle Would not say no  Craig Levein Ha ha ha  Brian Deane Not proven though fans hero  Alan Irvine Still LMAO  Alex McLeish Hopeless  Gareth Southgate No thanks  Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Are they having a laugh  Keith Curle No not good enough  Lets have some thoughts on who you'd like, I got these off a betting site  EXCELLENT ! no arguments here.
