If anyone is interested in Steam Locomotives, maybe we could get togeather and have a days shoot somewhere

all over uk..specials are run every weeek, i have been this morning to Barrow Hill an old steam locomotive depot although they are not working,

'Fraid its just photography with me. I also like the kids to see things from our history in action.

 

Ribblehead is quite a way off, isn't it? It would be nice to take the family to see these things if there was somewhere closer.

ok...take a look at the MIDLAND RAILWAY, Butterley, steam trains run every weekend, or

EAST LANCASHIRE RAILWAY.

Elsecar is ok but only a little tank engine, got to go a little further to see the really big mainline stem

May be a bit early, but the place to be this year is the National railway museum FROM 3RD - 17TH JULY and see the last six remaining A4 Pacifics( streaks to us oldies) should be some sight.

yes i agree, i photographed 60008, 60010 at shilden a few days after they arrived back in this country, they were both in a sorryfull state.

Hope to go to Ribblehead on Saturday to see 60009 Union Of South Africa, heading The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express, weather permiiting if anyone is interested you can ride with me, its a fair distance but well worth it

Sunday the 17th of March there is a double header in Sheffield at about 12.30, that will be a great sight, A double header is 2 Locomotives pulling the train for those that dont know...Its actual time in Sheffield is arr 12.32 and dep at 12.39
