I voted no most of the time it stands there empty.

Can think of plenty of better things to spend the extra pound on.

Yes, it's only an extra pound a year. I'd rather the Olympic legacy had more to do with promoting sport and keeping Don Valley open rather than ex-Olympians making a career as a celebrity on the reality TV merry-go round.

The thing that galls me is that as a nation we invested in the Olympic legacy, but as a nation it seems to be London that is reaping the benefits.

They are about to spend another £200M pounds on the refurbishment of the Olympic Stadium so West Ham can play there - that has got to be lack of foresight in the original plans on a par with Sheffield Schity Council.

This is all about politics and nothing to do with what is best for Sheffield.

Politics is all about what's best for Sheffield.

Why would they want to move to a smaller seating stadium with a running track?

So they could actually fill all the seats for a change? :hihi:

Yes. Never been and maybe never will but I'm glad it exists and it should remain.

The John......is a euphemism for rougher pubs so I guess a large proportion will have visited, although perhaps not many from Lodge Maw.

You can not be serious!

I voted yes but I would only do it if this council were not involved in the running of it in any way.

If £1, £2 or whatever was added to Council Tax it would just be creamed off - like 16% already is - to pay the pensions of the wasters who think these things up.

And would it be unreasonable to ask 'Golden Girl' Ennis to chip in from the £2.5m she's reckoned to have earned since the Olympics Sports Day?
