Scott Parker has been sacked at Bournemouth, looks like the 9-0 mauling at Liverpool was too much for the chairman.

Think it was more his comments after it than the result tbh, no shame in a newly promoted team losing to Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool in consecutive League games.

Well he did claim that the Bournemouth's owners failed to invest in the club.   Talk about biting the hand that feeds you,  no doubt handsomely.  The irony is of course,  the owners will have to waste money paying Parker & his backroom staff off as well as spending more money to bring a new manager & his backroom staff in.

I had him as favourite to go first- but also possibly Gerrard.

Both him and Lampard were very good players, but just like they couldn't play in the same England team- looks like they also can't manage in the PL!

First rule of football folklore.   Good players make lousy managers.   Probably because they spent little time listening to their managers & just bathing in fan adulation & enjoying the limelight & money.

The players who make decent / good managers are the ones who were average / mediocre players.   Look at the likes of Ferguson & Wenger.

This should be on the school national curriculum.

Mourinho, (only became a coach because Booby Robson wanted a translator in the dressing room to find out what they were talking about right?) Klopp, Benitez, Carlo Ancelloti, Louis Van Gaal.

Brendon Rodgers must be on thin ice right now?

They're talking to Potter,he'd be better off staying at Brighton.

Well, would you move for a lot more money and a longer contract?  Even if they sack you in 6 months, with a contract say double your current wages and a 3 year contract, and Chelesea on your CV, you'd be far better off financially and probably in the sights of other top clubs.

Money's not everything life would be a lot less stressful staying with Brighton,I'm sure he's on a decent screw already.
