WeX
It all depends on what you mean by 'end of the World' Is it... End of life on Earth? or End of mankind on Earth? or End of the Earth itself? or End of existence on Earth? All of the above will happen someday, and we will each cease to exist on Earth soon enough when we die, so better make the most of it while you can. It could be the end of religion
Jeffrey Shaw
Or (much more likely) the "End of World" scare proves predictably to be a load of nonsense.
Harleyman
If you believe in the fishes and the loaves, the water into wine miracles and Lazarus rising from the dead then you're a fair candidiate for believing a Mayan prediction made two thousand years ago
Jeffrey Shaw
Anyway, the ancient Mayans are all dead- so it don't matter a hill of beans to 'em.

Bypassblade
The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012. Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.
