  1. I'm not subservient what so ever, but I do not waste my time with cranks and conspiracy theorists who want nothing more then to feel better about themselves by pretending they understand something we all don't, when in fact there is noting other than their own imagination.
  2. there are always those who will always try to spin anything in the news. it makes them eel special that thy think they can see something the rest of us cant. the fact is the truth is almost always more mundane than the imaginations of those who cry conspiracy at every opportunity. come the time to stand up against oppression, these same people will be peeing their pants hiding behind their mummys while the rest of us stand up.
  3. I don't think they are exempt. They could easily be owned by a larger company that offsets all its losses though them. In the same way The Guardian news paper is used so its also pays no tax.
  4. Did you know that the HMRC's buildings where sold off to a company that is based in a tax haven 12 years ago. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/2263208.stm
  5. Fair point but are you saying that its comparable to the Muslim attacks across the world? ---------- Post added 02-03-2014 at 15:23 ---------- I'm not speaking for Mecky and I did say "Well that's my understanding of what Mecky said". You have a different one, I suspect only Mecky can clarify.
  6. the OP said "only attack western targets and for the general reason of supporting Israel." He wasn't saying they "only attack western targets", but rather the excuse given when they do is the Wests support of Israel. Well that's my understanding of what Mecky said. ---------- Post added 02-03-2014 at 14:02 ---------- vandalism: action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. vigilantism: the actions of a vigilance committee in trying to enforce the laws. Therefore your example of vigilantism is in fact just vandalism.
  7. I think you misunderstand what vigilantism is.
  8. I cant but help to think the same thing. plus if you read the article, this bit stands out "It was not clear whether the letter reached the jobcentre." Therefore if there was no other evidence I can see why the assessors didn't take his mental state into account. Would he have had his benefits cut if the letter had been passed on, I don't know, but I would have thought this doctors professional opinion would have counted for something. Who is to blame? I suspect many would like to blame the government, but is the doctor blameless? If Mr Wood was so vulnerable, why did he not take it upon himself to notify the Jobcentre himself. Then you have the mans family, where were they while this man starved to death over a 3 month period? I cant help but thing there were plenty of opportunities for others to get involved and help this man but they all sat on their hands.
  9. I'm sorry but what "vigilante actions" are you talking about? Saville was dead before any of the claims surfaced in the media and the process was and is carried out by the law.
  10. I think your a bit confused. Attacks on western nations are almost always excused as retaliation for the Wests support of Israel by the attackers and their apologists.
  11. It would seem that China is a great example of two (or three) different groups reacting to the same situations. Compare Tibet with Xinjiang, both want autonomy, both have very different methods of trying to get their way. One is peaceful and reacts in-woulds, Tibetan monks setting themselves on fire is almost a weekly occurrence now, while the others reacts out-woulds, Muslim extremists attacking and killing innocent people (soft targets) in cowardly acts. The difference is stark. It would appear that Islam will use violence to get its own way and its the Qu'ran that sanctions these attacks. "Kill the none believer etc etc"
  12. The charge of the light brigade was a misunderstood order, they were not meant to ride to their deaths, they were supposed to flank, not charge head on. ---------- Post added 28-02-2014 at 13:19 ---------- How can you democratically remove a leader that will not step down? You have to use other means. This is not democratic, but what is is the democratic process that follows and the interim government is doing what it can to hold elections as soon as possible.
  13. 1GB according to the manufacturers is 1,000,000,000 bytes. Your OS calculates 1GB as 1,024MB So a 500GB disk has 500 x 0.931GB of storage which equals 465GB according to the OS.
  14. Notice how Russia waited until the Sochi games were over before interfering.
  15. You're mistaken there. Spring describes real events so is not a human construct. Its tangible, it can be measured. Its when the Earth's axis are parallel to that of the sun. Spring is a word to describe the Vernal Equinox experience din the northern hemisphere. Just because we call it "Spring" doesn't mean its not real, in the same way just because we call "Narcissus Pseudonarcissus", daffodils doesn't mean daffodils are a human construct. "God" is an example of a human construct.
  16. A troll is someone who says/writes something to get a reaction. So far the only person trying to do this is you. People who disagree with you are not trolls And I'm not a retailer, I'm just a customer like you who has the opportunity to make a choice on the information given at the time of selection and purchase. No one lied to you and no one deceived you. You made a choice based on the clear information given to you in the shop. You do know that M&S have a customer satisfaction guarantee, so if you were not fully happy you could have got your money back. But that would mean you couldn't moan about it here.
  17. No, the OP assumed it was still on even though there is no advertising to support this. Its the fault of the OP not the retailer.
  18. I always thought spring started after the vernal equinox, so the 21st would be correct but if it starts on the equinox, then its 20th like you said.
  19. Spring starts after the vernal equinox which is on the 20th March this year, therefore Spring starts at midnight the 21st March. The Met Office don't get to decide when it is as its due to the tilt of the planet and the number of hours sunlight in the day. I would be interested in seeing where the Met office claim Spring starts on the 1st March as its a bit odd they would be so out and contradict thousands of years of experience.
  20. When was the last time you saw an advert by a company saying thy are raising the price of something? The £10 meal deal has been around for a number of years. Everything goes up in price over time, including to retailers from wholesalers. They could lower the quality, and people like you would moan about that, they could reduce the size, and again, people like you would complain about that, or they can maintain both and increase the price a little, not disregarding their own quality guarantee or making customers feel like they are getting less for the same price. You have a choice, plus you have nothing to complain about as long as the retailer is clearly pricing their products, and as M&S are, you making a mountain out of a molehill here.
  21. The iOS weather app seems to think its going to snow on Sunday and Wednesday next week. It was only 1 degree first thing this morning so there is a chance.
