go4it
:love:YEEEEEES Jai has won, brilliant!!! Very clever work by Syco tonight. The whole Ronan thing was to try and get him in second place, as second place singing acts are more successful than winners. Goes back to the whole Liberty X and Hearsay era. Seem to recall the same thing happening with Susan Boyle a couple of years ago - some story which put her down, claims of fix etc. Boyle ends up 2nd. Wouldn't be surprised if Syco are behind it. If Jai had come second he wouldn't have had a successful album, he's no sob story or gimmick about him. As winner he'll have one album, make some money then get dropped. Ronan on the other hand will be a hit stateside, sell albums galore and then when that dries up there'll be a west end part for him. As they used to say at school, first the worst, second the best... Totally AGREE, how staged was Ronan's second place speech? it was almost as if he had rehersed it. No 12 year old without formal training, could have remained that calm and fluent under such circumstances. That email that went round accusing Cowell of already signing Ronan's to his label, probably put just enough people off him so he didn't win. The POWER of the media and rich people huh?? It's so difficult to tell these days what is staged and what is not. The scandal mid-week might possibly have been a sad loner wanting attention. a quick search of the net sees multiple 'official ronan parke' facebook pages and twitters accounts - some people just wanting attention and to ride on the back of someone's fame. I seriously think that Cowell knows nothing of it - but there are many many people above him. Cowell does know that the audience can be influenced - if he says someone was rubbish then they will either not vote for them or vote for them out of spite. But look at all the 2nd place acts who have done better than the winner - Liberty X, Lemar (3rd), Olly Murs, JLS (although they were against Leona but some may argue they are more successful). Someone has clearly said to that lad that 2nd place is your dream result.

I thought Ronan's speech was rehearsed, but surely it doesn't matter? Anyone of us in a similar situation would rehearse what we would say, and that goes for whether we had won or come second. He had probably rehearsed a speech also in the event of him winning. We have got to remember he is only 12 years old, too!
