Bigthumb
What else can you buy for 2 million? The mind boggles. Why dont the lib dems cough up? As it's they're conference that caused it! But whose rif-raf are they policing? Perhaps the answer is to arrest a few thousand of those who are attempting to cause trouble and fine them the cost of preventing it. A 2.5% share of the Forgemasters loan, one which will guarantee profitable returns. Think of it as an investment!

It would be quite bizzare to send a bill to the folk who's conference is being policed. That would simply encourage the protestors to more violence in order to try to further rack up the bill. It would actually make more sense to send the bill to the other parties. At the end of conference season the party who's supporters had caused least disruption would come out on top. It is largely a characteristic of dictatorships to supress dissent. Is there something that the Liberals wish to tell us?
