  1. I'm against betting shops point blank just what Sheffield doesn't need, another betting shop. ---------- Post added 11-09-2013 at 02:26 ---------- and roulette machines are nicknamed homewreckers for a reason
  2. no he was chubby, not chubby, corpulent you have seen another one axle slack! http://www.tia-anna.com/GalleryImages/TiaAffinity0522.jpg Was this the one you saw?
  3. Has anyone else seen him? it really freaked me out when I was walking along the moor at about 2-oclock last Monday. I thought he was following me, but he the other way. It didn't look like fancy dress, it was a grown man on his own in a filthy clown costume walking behind me in the shadows. I told a couple of friends and one of them who lives at west one said they have seen this person a few times out of their window, and they have seen him scavenging in the bins behind London rd, late at night, always between midnight and early hours.
  4. 2 million+ unemployed even more on 'health' benefits between 200-300'000 jobs available at any one time (in the past 3 years) the richest 1000 people in the country made 155 bn in the past three years, If they had paid capital gains tax, it would have covered the majority of the deficit. But no lets have a dig at the helpless, hopeless people on benefits who are scraping to get by, not the billionaires who crated the problems in the first place, and are benefiting from the recession.
  5. Hillsbrough is a permit area because you can't park your car in front of your house on match days

  10. Match A match is split into eight frame sessions, the longer the match the more sessions, you pay more to watch the final sesion although its usually shorter. and in the final it may not even happen. Headphones Headphones cost around a fiver, they are the only electronic equipment you are allowed to have switched on in the arena. You can use them again for other matches, and for the next year, and you can pick up a signal from as far as the brown bear. Food you can bring anything you want so long as it fits in your bag, but they have lots of food outlets inside. Bags/coats there is a free cloakroom too
  11. I can... The percentage of civil servants with a public school and Oxbridge (that is both not either) education is far higher than nationally and as the pay grade increases so does the disparity. That isnt such a big deal until you compare it to the private sector or the third sector where the disparity is nowhere near as high. http://upreach.org.uk/issue.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/2013/jan/13/state-school-graduates-job-potential http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2012/oct/24/civil-service-numbers-cuts http://pa.oxfordjournals.org/content/39/4/437.full.pdf http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/pdfdir/cs0708.pdf
  12. most of our council tax is spent on jobs fortheboys
  13. it used to, but I don't think it does anymore
  14. sent to the cells for a night and got away scott free. and if you have kids they cant touch you
  15. it's a new poor tax or at least a way for the council to reclaim the national funding that it has lost through cuts. the worst part is even people with no income at all will have to pay it, so people who have had their benefits cut already, who are getting housing benefit due to nil income will still be evicted for non payment of council tax, and then taken to court and saddled with debt that they have no way of paying.
  16. I know, the camera shot is awful... but can you hear it though? ---------- Post added 05-03-2013 at 17:45 ---------- well cheers for all the feedback :(
  17. Here is a link to me performing comedy, music, and poetry at vision of soul. Vision of soul at the Harley on glossop rd, was a fundraiser for weston park hospital on the 17th of feb please let me know what you think of the video, is it too blue, is it too tame? what could I do to make it better? WARNING: it's just for grown ups http://t.co/OsDlvXMrA5 NB: ADMIN (If I am posting in the wrong place please pm me)
  18. lets have a witch-hunt of people trying to get enough money for food and bills, to distract from our billionaire tax dodging party sponsors
  19. I think that classing people as incapable or capable of working is wrongheaded. Almost everyone is 'capable' of doing some kind of work. But many are disadvantaged, and almost incapable of finding and keeping work in a competitive job market. Or are incapable without support / positive discrimination. But I wasn't asking about the DLA / ESA process etc... I meant what is your view on having the company whose job it is to meet the government targets for disability benefits cuts, as one of the main sponsors of the London Paralympics?
  20. What's your take on the protests?
  21. the benefit of buying your council house is that it will most likely be cheaper than rent, and you are guaranteed to make a profit... and you end up owning it... If you lose your job - housing benefit will cover your interest payments the downside is how well it sits with your conscience... Don't worry about the neighbors, if the scumbag family move in next door - you can let out your place, to someone on dss who would be glad of the roof over their head - but stipulate that you need rent paying direct (from the council) - DSS is a guaranteed rental income when you do it this way. insurance covers repairs and you can move somewhere a bit posh with the extra income.
  22. looks good, although I would like to see a tribute to the towers in shiny steel, on the site... or even better not have demolished them at all
  23. I live in brinsworth and cycle into sheffield - takes me about 40-45 mins the bus takes about 50 mins and is only once or twice an hour depending on the time of day - but if I'm feeling lazy, I might get that. or sometimes I cycle into Rotherham which takes about 20 mins, and catch the train. If you are using it every day public transport from Rotherham to Sheffield will cost you about £1250 per year, which is about half the cost of running a car, at that doesn't take into account the cost of the car, or the cost of parking. For schools, I would check the league tables, but i went to school in a suburb of rotherham (dinnington) and it was like Kez / rita sue and bob, i'd recommend getting into a grammar type school catchment area.
