  1. Talking of drugs in football I used to frequent CJ's guess which team the footballers that also frequented it played for ?.
  2. The lack of Revenue streams ? Sheffield United FC were formed in 1899 to fill the winter void of renting Bramall Lane,
  3. I don't think anybody I know said that Slew was the best striker at the Lane let alone the Championship
  4. Don't worry it was Salmonbones that posted it According to him we are still losing £11M per year. Heres the sage of all things SUFC and their finances latest unsubstantiated rambling. " Still losing 30k per day and many season tickets given away for £10, I know because my daughter has one and the figure banded around of how many of those handed out is aroun d4,000. That £40,000 they got from those 4,000 season tickets will buy them a months worth of Stephen Quinn. " I don't think the aforementioned Stephen Quinn will be concerned that it is Salmonbones opinion that Liam Palmer is a better player than him at the moment.

  6. Its also very good Italian food and I would not say it any more expensive than its contemporaries and the pre-theatre menu is very good value. http://www.nonnas.co.uk/documents/gazzettajuly11.pdf I also had a very good dinner at Kitchen last friday http://www.sheffieldkitchen.com/dinner.html
  7. I thought this thread was about Wednesday being favourites to win the league
  8. To be fair though they did only have 9 men
  9. To be honest I always thought that a landlord like Nigel at the Ranmoor Inn who is indeed a good landlord of a good pub once he has payed his rent to Enterprise and bought his beer of them was free to run his pub as he sees fit without reference to Enterprise or anybody else for that matter
  10. Kop has quite a number of restricted view seats same as Hillsborough due to the supporting poles
  11. Interesting analogy. Envious of ALF, O'grady. Lines etc, I think they will need to higher the bar a bit more before we become envious of our super rich massive neighbours exciting xmas presents
  12. Also funny about 1.15 in http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b013drvq/The_Chris_Evans_Breakfast_Show_If_You_Like_Having_a_Bop_Never_Stop!/
  13. You can't have lined his pockets very well in the past if he has to keep putting money in out of his own pocket to cover costs
  14. Tired ? Napoleons on Ecclesall Road has only recently had a million pound plus makeover
  15. I have a house in Italy two of my best friends are brothers one supports Milan the other Inter you could say success wise they are on a par and I would say their banter is the same as ours
  16. Well it was for most of the game however when they realised the gulf in class they apparently brought their second stringers on
  17. And the old deal was for a championship club as opposed to a league 1 club with a significant drop iin attendances since the last deal.
  18. So what you are saying is that the company who used to write a cheque out for the best part of £300k per year as a profit share is now going to write out a cheque for the best part of £1.7M a year for sales that the club could barely make a profit on when they ran it in house last year. That would assume that the caterers would be taking as much over the counter as SWFC would through the turnstiles to acheive those sort of return. Like our own deal the catering company is talking in terms of revenues as they did with their £10M contract with Huddersfield unless you really are pigs by nature as well and all consume 4 pies each per game,
  19. Ten year contract worth £34m apparently allthough I am not sure where you are going with this as this is the first time SUFC have actually outsourced their catering. I understand that SWFC previously outsourced their catering they basically received a commission presumably as SUFC now do. Then Sir Lee decided to change all this in his drive to embrace the community and although he increased headline turnover due to all the takings being the clubs he actually reduced the net profitability
  20. Joe Mercer also managed SUFC and then subsequently I belive won the league. FA Cup, league Cup and European cup winners cup with Man city
  21. All depends whether you want to sit with the home supporters or the away supporter
  22. I think he meant Mellor rather than Madine but I suppose they both begin with M and look the same on the radio
