  1. Yes there is a Dental/training hospital. It's called Charles Clifford Dental Hospital. They usually have a long waiting list but if you need emergency treatment they will see you pretty quickly. Here is a link to their website: http://www.nhs.uk/Services/Hospitals/Overview/DefaultView.aspx?id=1327
  2. Thankyou for your replies it has helped me to see things differently as I only had the schools view and the kids view. It helps that it is in most schools. It is very tricky to get the balance right but unfortunately its not good for my child who works better on her own and can be more productive in her revision by herself. She feels that she is losing valuable time by having to go into school.
  3. I am interested to know what other parents/people's views are on Silverdale School not giving the current Year 11's study leave until two weeks into their exams. It's totally insane in my opinion - kids are expected to go in as normal and attend 'revision' sessions. If they have an exam they do the exam and are then expected to carry on with 'revision' sessions. No break, no thought for the poor child:confused: I'm guessing they have come to this decision for those pupils who will take study leave as a holiday but I think most children do need it to concentrate and learn in the comfort of their own homes without disruptions that they will have at school. I know the Headteacher is regretting her decision but obviously can't be seen to back down:huh: but it's our kids who have to suffer her wrath I am so annoyed

  15. I see what you are saying despatedan, it's asking for trouble if girls are dressing older and staying out late - but doesn't mean scum should take advantage. I am quite strict on my children re - going out, but i'd rather my children were safe than sorry.
  16. It may come as news to you.... but we asian people also fear for our children's safety and condemn anything like this whether the attacker is asian, white, black etc... I suggest you get your facts right before you make assumptions and generalise

We call her 'Biscuits'. It's a shame really but kids are strugling to find time to play with her, so we are having to do all the looking after. Reluctantly giving her up in the hope she finds a loving family who can give her all the love and attention she deserves. We bought her from THE Breeder, we have a birth certificate and a set of 'looking after' instructions. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and will try and answer best I can.
  19. my kids went to creative kids, they really enjoyed their time there and staff were good, provided a variety of activities. This was around 3 yrs ago.
  20. My daughter went to Collegiate Montessori on kings Road just off Psalter Lane, excellent nursery. Very professional and outstanding activities provided in all areas. I would definately recommend a visit.
  21. The cheek of some people!! I sold an item on SF, the buyer asked if I would deliver, seen as he wasn't too far, I agreed to deliver for free! One hour later he calls back saying he doesn't want it and could i come and pick it up!!
  22. I had same letter, called up and was reassured that they had my application!
  23. Maybe you could suggest to the school to involve the council. They have specially trained people who will come and teach the kids (and parents) how to safely cross the road and teach them al kinds of wonderful statistics! We had them come to our school and was quite impressed in what they had to say.
  24. I am currently the latest target of this fiasco!! I popped into tesco for 5 minutes then returned later in the evening to go to pizza hut and have now been sent a pcn for overstaying . I emailed them explaining that I had actually left, but they are refusing point blank saying they can't se any evidence of me leaving, I'm not sure what to do. Do I leave it or should I respond.
