plenty of people didn't turn out "normal" (whatever that means). there were no ways of diagnosing the illnesses either, nor any understanding of mental health. -

a small strip club would go down well. -
unlikely if its anything like what's happened in london. £2.72 for the bitter. difference used to be around 50p between north/south.

i like it but drinking a lot of it gives you a horrendous hangover.

i grew up in leeds and went to uni in sheffield. leeds is a proper city, whereas sheffield seems more like a town, which i like. there is probably more to do in leeds, but i think crucially, some of the student areas of leeds are awful compared to those in sheffield, which are very nice if you know what you are doing. some of the halls in leeds are very badly located, and places like hyde park and headingley are horrible places to live, whereas crookes and broomhill are decent.

is the masons arms open at the moment? i used to prefer drinking there, the noahs ark was that bad!

unless they have completely gutted the pub and shifted it to somewhere else in sheffield, i'm fairly comfortable in stating that the pub will never be a success.
-
i used to live opposite the place (number 87), so i've been in plenty of times thanks, under various ownerships.

Coors Light on Draught in City Centre?

i'm yet to have a really good american beer that can compete with belgian beer, and bog standard belgian beer at that. i compare it to belgian beer as i don't think they are comparible to real ales. i've been to america twice and drank loads of beer there, while also having a few bottles of it here, but nothing has ever blown me away. -
this pub is a shining example of a pub that will never be a success anymore. i don't know why the owners don't just give up and flog it. its a crap pub.
-
bit paranoid. last time i went to a midnight launch, it was all blokes. no kids, certainly no mothers. its a fairly slow process so i'd get down there for 11.15 at the latest.

basically the sheep who have flocked towards the craft beer movement (who generally are pretty stupid and easily influenced) are happy to pay massively inflated prices to drink in the trendier bars, which fleece them accordingly.
