I'm considering a couple at the moment, I like Elvis' 'cant help falling in love' as its a song my partner loves, and reminds him of his late father. I dont want it to upset his mum tho as it was a song they played at his funeral. I also like lonestars 'amazed', the lyrics are fantastic and really say it all.

when my oldest daughter was about 3ish, she was learning her colours. anyway we were sat on a bus and she was sat happily counting the people as they got on saying '3 brown hair, 2 yellow hair' ect, then she said '1 with PURPLE hair!'. thinking she'd got her colours mixed up i said 'who's got purple hair??' she knelt on the seat, pointed behind us and said 'look that lady there is purple...' it was (naturally!) a very cross looking old lady with a lilac rinse.... -

cute name for a celeb baby, pity the poor kid when she goes to school though! -
someone told me that, does this seem stupid to anyone else? If i had it for my son, as its our family car does that mean when he's at nursery we cant use the car at all? What about after we've dropped him off ect, its a long drive from our house!

Young mums, how's life being a mum?
honeyb35 replied to Honey247's topic in Sheffield Parenting Group
I'm 26 with 3 kids, i was 19 when I had my first. I went to college when she was 9 months old, using the college creche and stayed there for the next 5 years, I finally graduated in December, 2 weeks before having my third! The staff at sheffield college were absolutely fantastic, I couldnt have done it without them, or the college on site creche. I'd reccommend it to anyone! I'm really missing not being there now! -
aww i never thought of that! i love crackers as well!

i've just requested a brochure for that! It looks ok, although still no food awkward hubby to be will eat grrr. Anyone know of a venue that does an indoor bbq? (winter wedding!) I've found one out in the peak district but i think it'll be a reg office wedding so i dont want to travel miles for a reception!
-
thats my worry at the mo, the blooming party! every venue i looked at want you to have a big formal meal ect, i dont want that! but if you dont have the 'wedding breakfast' they treat you like you're wierd then charge you double / triple for the room ect grr

Yogic/Holistic Hen Nights in local area
honeyb35 replied to LouLounHarry's topic in General Discussions
i'm hoping to arrange a trip to london for a small group of people to see a couple of shows, ideally grease and dirty dancing. i've been to ann summers parties as hen nights though, and i like the idea of a health spa thing. you can also have jewllery, handbag or shoe parties as well now. theres a fab room at alton towers you can hire, all girly with karaoke machine and chick flick dvds. or do an activity like bowling or go carting. you could also arrange a dance class, they do pole dancing and salsa in the city centre, or try http://www.velvetburlesque.co.uk for a burlesque dance lesson, the teacher is fab and its a huge laugh! -
omg thats terrible!!

-
i'd love one because basically i dont have a clue where to begin, let alone the legal stuff like giving notice ect! i cant afford one though cos my budget is basically cheap as chips! maybe i should find someone who loves planning weddings to do it for me, then i could give a reference if they want a future career as it lol!

What informs your choice about your child's education? Poll
honeyb35 replied to Titian's topic in Sheffield Parenting Group
I was at college and put my daughter in the creche there when she was 9 months old. I was still there when she reached nursery age and she was able to continue there as they had a nursery provision thing and she loved it, shes very confident now and is doing extremely well at school (loxley / hillsborough college creche if anyones interested!) they also accept children who's parents dont go to college there if its any use to anyone. I was happy for her to stay there as she had friends, the staff were lovely and prices were decent. My son was a bit harder as he's very disabled so there wasnt much choice even though I wanted him to have the same chances as his big sister. He's just started at Wooley Wood school in the nursery which seems to be ok. Maybe by the time number 3 is nursery age I'll be able to go down the typical route of finding a nursery! -
