  1. Every Tuesday, and crocheters welcome!
  2. I was restrained - and only got a copy of Interweave Knits Weekend, a skein of undyed yarn (to attack with Kool-Aid) and some shell buttons. It was lovely to see so many people, and to catch up with some folks that I hadn't seen in months. Three cheers for Jill, for all her hard work... Hip Hurrah, Hip Hurrah, Hip Hurrah!
  3. I will bring some of my whisky if you would like...
  4. I will be knitting for lucky people, but some of them may read the post, so no secrets given away here...
  5. I knit in public all the time. Apparently, I have no shame! I knit on public transport, in the queue at the bank, in cafes, at the park, pretty much anywhere. It is lovely when folks come up and ask you about your knitting, especially old men who tell you that they used to knit socks when they were in the forces.
  6. This is now available to look at - some gorgeous patterns once more. http://www.knitty.com
  7. I am not quite sure how it happened, but I came away from Lorraine's with yarn (again)... It was a lovely day, thank you, Lorraine. Sorry I had to leave so abruptly, but my new fridge freezer is now in-situ! Hurrah.
  8. Sorry to have missed you before you ventured back northwards. Will be up to see you soon - I have to visit godchildren in Durham soon, so be warned! Have tales of travelling and gossip to tell. Much love.
  9. I have some spare room, and I can almost see the Wool Baa from where I am!
  10. I went to yarn stores in Cape Town (and am shipping yarn back via my Aunt) and Australia was pretty good for yarn, Daisy Designs in Fairy Meadow, NSW, and Sew and Tell in Berrima in the Southern Highlands. Then there was America - sigh! The Vermont Yarn Company in Middlebury, School Products for cashmere in NYC, finally got to shop at Purl Soho - fabulous shop, and Rhona, Jane and I went to America's largest yarn store - Webs in Northampton, MA, and had an amazing time, complete with 25% discount and no sales tax. Had to buy an extra suitcase to bring the yarn home!
  11. I will be there! I think I may still have one space in the car if you want to meet at mine Sally? 11ish...
