  1. Bought my first Foo Fighter CD in an Arizona thrift store in 1996. No finer band exists. I was near the front at Milton Keynes last year and will be at Leeds on the 24th. Does anyone want to share a taxi/transport home to Sheffield? There will be two of us.
  2. I did visit and bought a lovely top from the women's clothes shop. Good luck to all trading at the Palace Mall
  3. Ill make a visit next week - we should be supporting local enterprise as its really poor for us all when our local shopping areas fail. Good luck to all

  9. Great thanks for that! It would be great to see the photos - he was in the football team too if anyone has any of those (-:
  10. My Dad Bob Eccles lived at 105 Burton Street and went to the school from 1953 - 1962. He remembers many of those mentioned and we would like to access photos etc but the website that is cited regarding the history is no longer working. Can people help us access photos? Does anyone remember him - he is always talking about it! The head teacher was Bert Smith
  11. After getting over the euphoria of attending the marvelous SWFC v SUFC match last weekend it has consequently hit me that the choice of half time entertainment was probably the most ridiculous in history. A display of combat techniques including the effective use of baseball bats to inflict injury was hugely interesting - but probably not the best choice given the love that is absent from such an occasion. Has anyone got other votes for the most ridiculous half time displays in history?! - surely this is the winner?
  12. Sorry no my paintings are a4 size or smaller and they based their quote on those dimensions. Pinders say they do lots of these and they are good quality but that has yet to be seen. Any other ideas? I will report on whether they come out ok.
  13. It is expensive - you don't need a plate though if you do it digitally - its about a quid a copy on heavy paper - or if on card 1.50 but if you do more copies the price goes down. Pinders insisted that other copying places in the town would not necessarily take as good care or produce as good a copy. However because I use pastels they need to put a perspex layer between my work and the glass copier so it might not live up to expectations.... I'll have a crack at it and report back on how good the copies are!
  14. Hi I was just going to start a thread but found yours! I went to staples and they were awful - didn't give a monkeys about being careful with my original artwork so thanks I will try pinders.
  15. Most helpful thanks It is a special window so I don't mind splashing out. It just means no new shoes for a few months!
