We lived at Parson Cross. In those days it was a lovely place to live. Very safe and close to greno woods. We used to go out to play in the morning and not come home until tea time. No one worried as everyone kept an eye on each other. Can't remember anyone being burgled or anything like that. There wasn't much traffic around so we were free to cross roads without the fear of getting run over. It was a council estate but the vast majority of people cared for their homes and gardens. I think after the war people were just grateful to be given nice affordable houses to live in so they respected their properties. There was still a lot of poverty around though and people struggled to make ends meet but I think we were a lot happier living on a council estate than people are these days. Just my opinion, I may be wrong.

I don't see anything wrong with men or women crying in public. However it's now gone too far. People cry at the drop off a hat these days. Same as swearing. Nothing wrong with it when you're really annoyed but it's become part of everyday language.

Yes, Rotherham Council.

My friend lives at catcliffe and has sent me photos of the floods. It's shocking to think that it's as bad as it was 15 years ago. The council have obviously not learnt from experience.

If it is a 16 year old he'll probably just get a slap on the wrist and be allowed to continue his life of crime.

Someone has felled the ancient tree at Sycamore Gap in Northumberland. I cannot understand why anyone would do something like that. It just seems like pure malicious vandalism 🤬

Not been for many years so I wouldn't know. However there's a map of available car parks on their web site if that's any help. Hope you enjoy the event. -
I couldn't agree more. It's embarrassing.

My late mum once left her jacket in a city cab. They dropped it off at her house when they were passing at no charge. It was a while ago though -
You've tried them as well have you? 🤣
-
I stopped buying Heinz beans for that reason. Then I discovered Aldi's. They're much better than Heinz and cost a lot less. They also do beans and sausages which are really nice.

You could join up with Padders and form a Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson tribute act.

Ring Age UK, they have gatherings for pensioners. Failing that you could always try the care homes. When my mum was in one they always seemed up for a laugh.

It's not that I don't believe Daddy but when I read it I couldn't help but remember the two little sibling kittens and how he got everyone going. It still makes me laugh. I keep thinking this was going to be another one like that.

What Are You Watching On Tv At This Moment ?
Rollypolly replied to pattricia's topic in Entertainment Chat
I thought Elton John was absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed every minute of it. 😁 -
In future Anna I'd recommend taking someone else with you. When my late mother had an appointment at RHH years ago both my sister and I took her. One to drive and the other to get her out of the car and take her in. Often asked be out from her appointment before the other one had got parked.

I don't think he even deserved to be in the show! This is the first time I've watch BGT and I won't be watching it again. I really thought the girl dancer deserved to win. It's not really a talent show imo.

I used to like Aqua Manda & Rive Gauche. Tried Rive Gauche some years ago and it wasn't the same. Also liked Estée Lauder Youth Dew. My mum used to like Evening in Paris and another one that I think was called 4711.
