  1. Matias is the man. He’s got plenty of pace. Thought we did ok tonight. With a couple of confident strikers, we would have won that game easily.
  2. Instead of sticking your fingers in your ears and saying “ lalala I can’t hear you”, why not address my point.
  3. Wrong question. You should have asked why we export so much fish. And where are we going to sell it when we leave the EU. Brexit will finish our fishing industry.
  4. I don’t think that £8m is such a big deal for Mr Chansiri. The problem is that it has spannered our chance of buying players we need, because of FFP.
  5. You should have stuck around for lesson 2. Bob Sou’wester takes all of Jean Claude’s fish and tries to sell them. Bob discovers that 70% of his catch used to be sold to Jean Claude’s cousin. Unfortunately, a bit of EU solidarity and some trade tarriffs make that a big fat “non merci” and Bob is left with a big pile of rotting John Dory.
  6. Just do it. Be sweary. Tell me what you really think of me. And count those stars
  7. Not wishing to insult you, but you are either trolling, or seriously out of your depth. Here’s a thing you can do. Think of all the sweary words you can. Reply to this post and aim them at me. Then count the stars. Good luck.
  8. I’ll get my scissors out. What time can you make it?
  9. I wouldn’t say that nobody is bothered, but we aren’t as obsessed about it as you Blades seem to be. We’ve plenty of strikers, if one isn’t firing then someone else comes in. The problem is that three of the best are injured. Once that’s is sorted we’ll be fine.
  10. So 30% of 4% is...? Seems pretty low to me.
  11. I’m not sure why the OP is so upset by the notion that schools should teach kids to get along with each other. It seems like a very good idea to me.
  12. It isn’t only the ball that he fights for. We are better off without him.
  13. You might be surprised to learn that I'm not even remotely surprised by that:wink: However, I was referring to the Directors of Carrillion, not you. But hey, what's a little narcissism between "old muckers" eh?
  14. Ah. The username gag. Maybe I got there first, when I chose it:rolleyes: As for your point. It seems to be that it is fine to rip off others and simultaneously pay yourself as much as possible. Don't be surprised when others pick you up on that.
  15. I'm not your old mucker, nor am I your new one. This is also a public forum and I'll post what I like, where I like. You might like to consider being better mannered and less patronising, it might help you to get your point over better. I'll leave that for you to consider. I have work in the morning.
  16. There were/are plenty of Carrillion directors with their noses in the trough to a quite disgusting extent. Some of the salaries in this report are astonishing for people who ultimately have failed in their jobs and brought misery on many honest working people. I chose my source carefully. When even the Telegraph are outraged, you know that something is very wrong with capitalism. Maybe you could ditch the point scoring and recognise that the company has been mismanaged for years by people who have paid themselves salaries far in excess of their talents. Now we are all having to pick up the tab for their largesse. Oh. Just so you know. Your bullying and hectoring posting style does you no favours at all. It just places you in the corner with all of the other unreconstructed macho dinosaurs who are being steadily stripped of any dignity or influence.
  17. You do understand that our border is in Calais, don't you. Hence the reason why we should pay. ---------- Post added 18-01-2018 at 21:28 ---------- And when we leave the EU, that will no longer apply. Which is all the more reason for continuing to cooperate with the French over this. That, and the massive amount of money that we've already spent fencing in (out?) half of Calais, to make the tunnel secure.
  18. Ah. The Paul Simon school of data analysis. I never did set much store by that approach. ---------- Post added 18-01-2018 at 19:33 ---------- I really don’t. I don’t see pubs with “No blacks, no dogs, no gypsies” on the door either. Maybe I just keep nicer company than you do.
  19. So, this isn’t you then? http://viz.wikia.com/wiki/Buster_Gonad
  20. Interestingly, when people discuss falling violent crime rates, they often argue that people don’t report because the police do nothing, so there is no point. When people discuss hate crime, they often use the opposite argument that it is due to increased reporting. I prefer to rely on data. There are more reports, the problem is more prevalent.
  21. That makes no sense. Who do you tell that they won’t get any more support for a new child? What happens if they subsequently get (or lose) a job. Do you change your attitude to a person depending upon their employment status?
  22. Do you have any reasoning to back up your opinions? A bit of science, perhaps.
  23. Is this limit for the mother, or the father?
  24. There is even more to it than that. Firstly, the link between genetics and intelligence isn't very well understood, so that presents a practical problem. Also, selective breeding for desired characteristics also selects other, often unforseen characterisics. Ask your nearest Bulldog, for details. All quite apart from the fact that it is a repulsive idea in the first place.
