Few years back an out of work man was just stood next to a company parking lot, people though he was collecting parking fees, he decided to go back every morning and collect a small fee per car, he did it for years, it wasn't until he "retired" from doing it people started asking where he was, the company didnt even realize he wasn't hired help

OPs problem is just the opposite from the care home I work at, most of the staff have grown children and fight like mad for holiday hours for the extra pay.

I do send a few out, I get a lot of free Christmas cards to send out from the places I donate to as a thank you. I also like to receive them as they usually include a family Christmas photo and an annual family update .
